TE's don't have to block to be the best.

this is how you know when a player is good when they get signed to a six-year contract extention worth millions $$$$

Brent celek is now an elite TE lol (im not saying you have to get a huge deal like that to be an elite TE )

but thats how you know when someone is good.

Yes....they do. That's their job. Their main job is to block and be a check down receiver for the QB, while sometimes running deeper routes.

I'm going to have to agree with HOF here. Celek is one of my favorite Eagles but he is no where near elite status yet. Granted I think he will be if he keeps playing the way he is but.. he's still young and has a lot to learn.. so as much as I hate to say this.. O.D. is better than celek and don't even get me started on witten's soft ass.

celek is now in the top ten now cause he has the talent and got the money he deserves for being so good he may not be in the conversation of gates,gonzo,Daniels,witten,clark,etc etc but he's now in the top ten and may make it to the pro bowl.

Maybe if he plays a little better than he has for the next 5 or so years. You don't get anointed as an elite anything with just a few years under your belt.

how can someone choose celek over daniels thats just rediculous thats like choosing shockey over gates.

He may or may not be any good again. He also will be a couple years short on any career records, so after he retires people will forget about him. He plays for the Texans and nobody cares about the texans, most players who stay there will be forgotten.

BTW, there are currently 11tight ends with better season stats than Daniels, therefore he has dropped off any top 10 list.

the reason other TE's have better stats than O.D. is because he hasn't played in about 5 weeks.
