| since there was a topic about top 10 best wr's in the game it got a little out of control with TE'S invovled so heres a topic about the best TE'S in the game and heres mine
1 tony gonzalez (holds all the records for a TE) 2 antonio gates (he was once the number one go to guy 4 the chargers 4 many yrs not like that any more but he did it for a long time know other TE was more presured than gates) 3 jason witten (hes exsplosive after the catch dont know if any other TE puts up big yrds ater the catch like this dude) 4 dallas clark (hes so good not only as a TE but as a wr hes still good and he has peyton throwing him the ball hes so diverse) 5 owen daniels (only been in the leugue 3 yrs and is already concidered one of the elite should be in everybodys top 10 TE) 6 kellen winslow (should be a little higher on my list but gets hurt to mutch the only problem with him he cant stay healthy) 7 john carlson (he just came outta know were and put up 55 rec 627 yrds and 5 tds & plays for seattle in case u didnt know and with finally a healthy QB he'll put up bigger numbers) 8 chris cooley (hes a good route runner and is exsplosive after the catch but not as mutch as witten but is the close'ist 2 witten) 9 todd heap (a veterian guy and has been the ravens back up plan thru the offence for many yrs and still playing good and with a QB now he'll be even better) 10 jeremy shockey (he kinda fell off after the giants super bowl and now with the saints maybe drew brees will be nice to him this year and throw him the ball a reason cause he didnt throw him the ball that mutch cause jeremy try to get in his face and told him to throw him the ball and brees was like b**** f*ck u this is my offense but shockey should have a solid 09 year) and heres a few that came close but didnt make the list oaklands zach miller he has the skill to be an elite TE but dont get the ball thrown to enuff and heith miller the steelers TE i know hes good but to be true i really never heard of the guy lol he got the long term exstendtion deal worth millions but he still kinda of a know name but hes popular on madden and there u have it my top 10 TE let me know who ur favorite TE'S are and no hate just keep it to a minimum and just dont hate at all just post up ur top 10 TE'S

| I'm glad u made this thread cuz I wanted to discuss this!! By "antonio gonzalez" I'm guessin u meant tony!! No need to act like he goes by antonio!!! Now I moved this to the NFL section cuz this is obviously about real life not virtual TEs...
My list: 1. Tony Gonzalez (no need for explanation) 2. Antonio Gates (see No.1 for explanation) 3. Jason Witten (has made Tony Romo better then anyone imagined before we knew who he was) 4. Dallas Clark (great hands, great blocker and is peytons go to guy for 3rd and short.. Also great in the red zone!) 5. Chris Cooley (doesn't get the respect he deserves.. 734, 786, 849 those are his yards by year the past 3 years, pretty damn good for a TE) 6. Owen Daniels (only a 3rd year man and already a cornerstone of an underrated offence in houston!) 7. Visanthe Shiancoe (ready to have a killer season with favre after putting up 600 yds and 7 tds with his old qbs) 8. Dustin Keller (535 yds and 3tds with favre last year.. Now he has rookie mark sanchez and rookies always lean on their TEs) 9. Greg Olsen ( 39 to 54, 391 to 574, 2 to 5, that's greg olsen growing from year one to year two and now he has a REAL QB) 10. Anthony Fasano (being held down by jason witten is what he did best til he got to miami last year! Went from 13 rec to 34 and went from 143 yards to 454 and went from one td to 7.. Also had his avg yards per catch go from 10.2 to 13.4... He's ready to be top 10 this year!!!)

| Haha my bad about moving it and not letting u know.. And my bad about carlson.. I really thought he played for carolina last year... I was wrong... He is good but I still think my top 10 stands as is... Heath miller, his value depends on what big ben does and big bens production depends on what that D needs him to produce and I think that D is top 3 at least so I say big bens production stat wise stays down and so does heaths! Zach miller has great hands, I've seen it many times but the raiders focal point has to be running and if it isn't they will hurt themselves and he still won't get the stats he could in a good offence.. I like both millers, just not in the offences they are in to make them top 10... | |

Bo Scaife is the most underrated TE in the Gm this guy puts up numbers is the no.1 WR for the Titans and doesnt get mentioned, Carslon good, i need to see him do it another yr to show me he's consisted, the same goes for Zach Miller, Heath Miller is the most overrated TE in the gm, the media boost this guy up and try make him good but when you watch the Steelers, he's a hell of a blocker but an OK reciever, i dont ever seeing Heath making 1 probowl or having a 1000 yd and 10TD season like the ones i said above can have on any given season.

| Why do u keep mentioning 1,000 yds and 10 TDs in a year like it happens all the time? In the past 3 years there has only been 2 TEs with 10+ TDs in a single season.. Dallas clark in 07 and tony G last year.. And clark only had 616 yds to go with his 11 TDs in 2007 so only one time has a TE got both 1000 yds and 10TDs in the past 3 years.. Tony G had 1,058 yds and 10 TDs last year.. And only 4 times in the past 3 years has any TE put op 1,000+ yds.. Witten in 07, tony G in 07 and 08, and kellen winslow in 07.. I just don't get why u keep bringing up 1,000 yrd and 10TD seasons like that's consisnantly reached by multiple TEs each year when its very rarely reached.. If that's what u are judging ur TE list on then tony G last year is the only TE that should be on ur list cuz no one else has done it recently.. | |

| what about the TE'S that arn't really heard of like the cardinals TE pope and even the lions TE gaines those guys create missmatches for mlb's cuz there size there both 6-6 they may not be very good but i think if u use them wisely the'll be very effective them dude's BIGGER THAN MOST WR'S and there really good on madden cuz they will always be open just to share that with ya'll cant nobody f*ck with 6-6 TE'S and what about the kid from the cowboys the former longhorn martelles bennet he's 6-6 and i think he'll put up some pretty good numbers for a second string TE he my suprise player of the 09 season just watch u heard it here frst | |

| Those guys are just big.. They don't run good routes and they don't have good hands and that's why no on talks about them.. Bennett could be a sleeper this year, he's got the size and skill but I just saw witten on jim rome a couple days ago and he was talkin about bennett is still a work in progress and he will be good when witten is done with him.. He pretty much is open about it he has taken bennett and is mentoring him.. I don't think this year is his breakout year I think next year the cowboys are gona be nasty with 2TE sets, they are already supposedly running 2TE sets this year so maybe bennett is ready and will breakout this year.. Either way I think he's an interesting pick to break out. | |

| If u want my sleeper I guess I can go with shiancoe since no one but me has him in their top 10 TEs... Although I'm not gona be surprised at all when he puts up bigger #s then some higher profiled TEs this year like john carlson, cooley, winslow, and olsen.. | |

He didn't make a touchdown catch until Week 14, and Boss had 6 last year...hm...easy pick. Boss had better numbers than Shockey last year (I always hated Jeremy).

I just thought Shockey needed to go in 2007, then, he broke his leg against the 'Skins...I know he was pissed watching the rest of his team win the Super Bowl without him. Lol.
