Big series today between texas and NY.. Texas needs to come up big with the sox and rays playing teams that aren't very good.. Texas has a good matchup tonight though with millwood vs jaba chaimberlan.

I show them love but at the same time they aren't gona make the playoffs.. Good for them being above what expectations were but still no playoffs.. The braves are a little better then florida and the way the rockies are playing for someone in the east to win the wildcard they gota catch the dodgers cuz it looks like the rockies are gona take the west.. That would mean the dodgers are 6 games up on everyone in the wildcard race and someone has to catch them if the rockies stay on fire.. I don't see it happening.. The west looks like it might be set with philly, LA, colorado, and st louis.. The al wildcard race is the only race worth talking about besides the AL central.

yeah, colorado is definitely making the playoffs, and at least 2 teams from the west are in. not sure if the giants have enough in them to make it. the marlins have had a great year, but i think it's too late for them. the AL playoff race is much more exciting.

Tim wakefield is back tonight.. Could be a huge boost for the sox, he led the league in wins at the all star break then had back problems so hopefully a month off has helped him out so he can finish strong..

No other nl east team makes it besides division winner. the west will have prolly rockies n dodgers. although i still think rockies take division. fla is a great team, but i think rockies are to hot. atlanta is one of those teams that if they are hot there great. but if not there really streaky although they look great on paper. n yes tht was a great win by texas n tampa. but boston won so they are the same. colorado with another walk off

Colorado is so quietly good! Even having to play in that thing they call a ballpark coors field, they have the most quality starts in the majors. (For people who don't know that's a SP throwing at least 6innings in a game and giving up 3 runs or less) its a major accomplishment to have the most quality starts cuz it keeps ur bullpen fresh all season.. They are gona be a scary team to play in the playoffs just like they were in 2007 when they rolled through the NL playoffs..

I see Red Sox going over the White Sox tonight, and I want Rangers to beat out Yankees again. If all goes well we should be 5 games behind the Yankees by the end of tonight. And then after that with Wakerfield back, and if Matsuaka returns soon and is back to regular form we'll be leading the American League East in no time.

The east is pretty much over unless we sweep the yanks next time we play them.. Dice k will be back for that, he should be back in the rotation in early september.. Its great cuz I'm tired of watching brad penny! Rotation would be lester, beckett, buchholz, wakefield, dice k.. I don't see how everyone still thinks texas has a chance to win the wildcard.. I said we were about to go on a run and we've won our last 2 games and got a good match up tonight to continue our run.. Texas is helping us out by winning but I could care less about the division, just get in the playoffs and everyone starts fresh.. I could care less who wins between the yanks and texas, I hope they play a 20 inning game tonight just cuz it fucks up bullpens when there are games like that.

i wouldn't count the rangers out just yet. i have this feeling about them. their offense is just so good, as they have a solid defense, too. if their pitchers can just keep the game in check, they'll get to the playoffs.

Big papi!!!!! I missed seeing him walkoff!!!!! 2 1/2 up on texas now and tampa is only up 2-1 in the 8th hopefully they lose cuz as u all know I'm more scared of them then I am of texas... We still have 2 series against TB too so we need a lead on them, they play too well against us head to head..

I can care less about any steroid story! It was back in 2003, baseball is just as clean as any sport right now.. As for grienke I think he will go somewhere but he's not goin to the nationals!! Nationals don't pay anyone, I almost guarantee strasburg will be traded withing 2 and a half years if he reaches his potential.. I don't know what grienkes contract status is right now so I have no idea when he would be a free agent or be made available for trade but grienke is nasty and he pitches in the AL which is the better league, its known that u are for real when u pitch as well as he does in the AL not so much when u pitch that well in the NL as shownin trades like jeff suppan many times getting traded to the AL and getting rocked then he was a legit #3 starter for st louis in 2004 when they went to the world series.. AL pitchers are for real and grienke won't get stuck in KC forever and if he goes to the NL he will absolutely dominate! Btw I am sooooo glad brad penny was released so he will never be in a red sox uniform again!!
