Using Adrian Peterson

For all the viking users, how do you use peterson and the vikings? what are some of ur key offensive plays?

if you want to use adrian peterson...he is deadly on quick passes to the flats, pitches, tosses, and power runs to a side...any run where he can potentially get to the outside and get 1 on 1 with a safety/cb.

You want to be able to get AD in the open field where he can take on a cb/safety one on one. I usually run some tosses or offtackle.

yea thats all good and stuff but if ur gonna run it all game try to switch him out with chester taylor cuz eventually he'll fumble.....try off tackle and goal line stuff i cant stand it when people run it but just remember that everything can be stopped so don't overuse him cuz he will end up turning the ball over

I usually just let AP run wild on defenders at first. I'll start the game out just pounding the rock with him and if I see my opponent hit sticking him or trying to strip him what I like to do is at the end of every run press and hold down RB or whatever the control is for protect the ball with ps3. He will almost never fumble if you do this. You wont break as many tackles but I would rather have the ball than an extra 5 yards. Also, in the passing game I will motion him around to use him as a decoy then occasionally throw him the rock and watch him work his magic. I also like to set him up as a receiver. You can do this by just looking at the different sets in each formation. I will usually only throw screens to him if he is lined up at receiver but occasionally I throw in a slant if he starts going man coverage. Fl Screen HB wideout out of shotty doubles is one of my favorites to use with AP.

probably the best way to use AP AD is off tackle, but if you dont want to abuse the game then hnestly just run power O in goal line or the wildcat. Adrian Peterson almost always breaks the first tackle and once you have done that it is off to the races

Peterson is probably one of the glitchiest players in madden. He is a great running back in the game and on the field but the game doesn't reflect the amount of times he realistically fumbles. As many times as players like Felix Jones gets hurt or fumbles Peterson should be an easy target to hit stick and cause a fumble. I would be willing to bet most people use Vikings, Raiders, Chargers, Ravens for speed either at WR or defense versus using the team they cheer for. I look forward to a game where players fumbling is realistic and speed will be programmed to more realism.

when you run with peterson dont run east west with peterson hitstick = fumble

Lol really.

I have friends who suck.. like really.. and have teams in friends and fam leagues and can average 100 yards just calling hike and diving every play.

The best way to use Ap is to get him the ball.

With a few cast members..He can be stopped though. Skilled player or not.
