Why is anyone wasting their time listening to someone who doesn't know what they're talking about, anyone in their right mind and anyone who actually follows football would know that Vince Young is not a scrub. He's not making mistakes, because they're not letting him throw the ball that much. And why aren't they letting him throw it that much? Because he blows.

VY is a scrub who one year ago lost his starting job to a late-30s something joureyman.

You can spout off about he's 7-1 if you want, and I can tell you that Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl. It doesn't make either a good QB.

the W is what matters? if that were the case then Rob Horry would be one of the best NBA players ever, and he isnt. winning in a team sport cannot be thrown and credited to one person. he is a winning QB, not a great QB

Being a great QB goes beyond numbers. Wins are important, but Vince Young isn't why that team is winning.

During Tennessee's losing streak, they were allowing 33 ppg. Since then? Under 20 ppg. That might have something to do with their winning streak. Oh, and the fact that they're predominantly a running team, with the best running back in the NFL stuffing it down defense's throats.

Young is just along for the ride. And the moment he tries to throw anything other than dump offs and screens, you'll see his turnovers rise again.

well the stat about the D is correct. but chris johnson didnt explode until they started VY

trust me, he is on my FF team. he had like 2 100 yard games pre VY and every other game was under. thse 2 or so games were just HUGE.

lol. Good job. We'll just forget the fact that their defense has allowed half of the ppg during their 7-1 run as opposed to their 0-6 start.

You're right, Vince Young handing the ball to Chris Johnson, or throwing screen passes has much more to do with why they're 7-1 than the fact that the Tennessee defense stopped sucking out loud.

You are a great representative of today's average football fan. Completely unknowledgeable about the sport, and what it takes to win.

You also probably believe that the Colts will win the Super Bowl without any running game, and with a mediocre defense.

That just adds to my point. Chris Johnson and the Titan defense are both playing significantly better than they were during the 6 game losing streak.

Neither of those facts have anything to do with Vince Young.

i agree that vince young may not have the best stats, but do you remember that game winning drive he had? that was against the cardinals, who are am okay defensive team. no one is saying vince young is the best QB in the NFL right now, but he is not the worst, either. for someone to step up and lead his team down the field on a game winning drive and complete the pass to win the game with no time left, that takes some skill. and, unless i'm mistaken, he didn't throw any screens on that drive.

robert horry is one of the best clutch shooters look at all the times he helped teams to win with a last secend shot.....................and vy would have had same success last yr as collins vy won the first gm and got benched for being hurt....

Arizona ranked 23rd in the league in total defense, a far cry from Top 10.

As for "one of the better secondaries in football", they rank 24th in the league against the pass. I'm just saying, they're not any good.

The raiders have the worst starting QB. Whether that be Russell or Frye, they are both awful.

The worst on any team is Kevin O'Connell for the Jets.

I agree with you capncrunch Kevin O' Connell is awful,but the raiders qbs arent very good eitheir i think its a tie between them to.I mean eitheir team isnt going to make the playoffs.

Vy doesnt need to throw the ball down the field. he has chris johnson.He is doing just what a run first team qb needs to do.Which makes him not the worst qb in the nfl.
but when they get down and the d is playing the pass you see things that happened against the chargers.which makes him not the best qb in the nfl.

Do you even watch football? There are NFL head coaches who will tell you there are situations where punting before 4th down is a smart move.

They will also tell you that there are situations where they would take a safety.

You have no idea what smart football is, don't pretend like you do.

i saw one of those situations in a packers game were they took a safety rather than a fumble for a touchdown by challenging, pretty much irrelevant to the situation your talking about though.
