| its tough to find one route that works against every zone... but i think a drag or slant works against most of them. | |

| Most of the top players will attempt to rocket if they see zone. However, there are other alternatives. It depends what type of zone you're facing and how many WR's you have on the field.
Look deep if you see cover 2. Hit flats if you see cover 4. Be patients w/cover 3.

| floods are really the only pass plays that work against just about any zone. look for plays that have multiple (3 or more) receivers doing routes into the same area of the field. usually, there wil be one short, one medium, and one long route in the area. just pick carefully and only throw if you're sure the zone defender has decided to cover someone else. | |

| a couple plays in every playbook are called floods. also, if you can't find them, try this. if you're positive they are in zone, hot route one guy to do a flat route, one guy to do an out route, and one guy to do a streak, all to the same side of the field. one of them will be open | |

theres your answer explained perfectly i find that the play "verticals" works well against zone. all the routes are flies and then its easy to exploit to weak defender
