how do you hot route someone on D to be in those purple zones?

I THINK it's hit the left stick to the left. It's funny because I can do all of this instinctively when i'm playing but i'm not even 100% sure when I have to actually explain it, LOL.

I think it is left on the left stick for Xbox 360.

For PS3 it is left stick to the right

yea its to the right regardless if its the ROLB or LOLB
