| a very underused route but it is very effective. use a receiver like wes welker(one with great hands and can catch the ball in traffic) and you have an automatic 7 yards. i usually like to roll out when i do it and have a rb going to the side with you incase there is a defender infront of your receiver. This is a great route but make sure not to throw it if there is a defender infront of your receiver because it's an easy pick but usually with a great route runner like welker there is noone infront of him. | |

| i agree curl routes are under used but more an dmore ppl are catching on and thats all some of the ppl i play offense...u shut that down they scared to go down the field and its a pic...i feel like it is a handicap a good way to stop it is have your DE drop back into that zone he may not pic it but he will knock it down most the time...i like to use this in redzone or with the slot taking that backer away a little and in cover 3 wait until that corner goes back more to be the saftey...it jus sucks to defend caus in man the defenders are nowhere ALL the time even my shut down corners. | |
