Does anybody else think thomas jones sucks in madden?

In the nfl hes pretty good, but in madden hes not fast enough or enough of a truck to make any plays. Anyone have any thoughts?

Your going to find that this happens a lot in Madden. A player in real life is pretty good but in Madden their garbo, and on the flip side you'll see some players in real life who will never see the field who are Madden superstars. The biggest one that comes to mind is Darrick Brown, dude was a Madden god last year, yet he hardly sniffed playing time.

i think hes well rounded in madden, ive honestly always thought he was overrated. somehow he always gets decent yardage and yards per carry. but everytime i watch the jets it feels like everytime they hand him the ball its a waste.

I completely agree with Thomas Jones being overrated in madden. He's a monster in real life especially last year, and he holds onto the ball very well and this year I played with the Jets and in overtime he produced his second fumble, and none were hit sticks.

I think the NYJ running backs in general are kind of soft in this game. I've seen Jones' TRK rating, and he doesn't seem to live up to it. I break more tackles with Darren Sproles than I do with Thomas Jones.

Of all the "good" running back tandems in the game, NYJ's is by far the worst.

I'm not very high on the Jets in general in this game. I think they're the most overrated Madden team at the moment. Great OL and Revis, not much else.

The playoff run has created a jets madden wagon

He seems pretty good to me. Always breaks at least 1 gang tackle per game, which is big. Good enough speed and stuff. idk, I do work with him.

jones need to have more of a trk in madden but imo less speed...they give em no credit for getting 1400 yds this yr...and yes i agree that the playoff run made em a bandwagon...and no way blackstone...we only have revis on d...yet we have the #1 d in the game...freaking idiot...u have pat willis...who else?and on o u got vernon and gore...idiot

Jones isn't bad. He can break stiff, but you still have to use stick to make it happen. He won't just break it from hitting the truck stick forward. He can juke and make plays too.

Hes not fast in real, so why would he be fast in Madden? Hes a power back and breaks a lot of tackles just use the truck stick.

Thomas Jones yeah he certainly doesn't fit my mold for a starting madden rb, his catch is meh not the greatest speed those weaknesses are kinda what I look for from my starter. Jones is just a better version of McGahee in the game really I prefer power backs as my backups. If they upgrade the Jets a bit Shonn Green and some of the D, I might start using them with Green starting, Jones as backup, and Leon as 3db.

Jesus. I'm not talking about in real life, I'm talking about in Madden.

Outside of Revis, there's not one player in the game that's worth a s*** in Madden from the Jets' back 7. DL is solid, but with their linebackers and DBs...Revis is the only player worth anything in this game.

i understand what u said ashblackstone but i certainly disagree...we have the best d in the game when used right...put revis on ANYONE and that guy is outta the game...then we got a great safety tandem in leonhard and rhodes...followed by amazing backers in david harris and bart scot...if no jet is worth a s*** in madden, what do i say bout the 49ers d besides willis and clements lmfao

Speed is the name of the game in Madden, and the Jets don't have it.

Rhodes and Leonard are a terrible safety tandem for Madden. I don't even start Leonard at safety. I moved him to OLB. They're a nice mid-level Madden team, but they do not live up to their 86 overall rating at all.

Carolina, with a 78 rating...is a much better team.

to say the jets dont deserve an 86 rating is preposterous...they beat the 90 chargers point one...and two carolina is garbage...qb aint good and their d can be beat...everyone is over hyping them imo

You're not getting it. You're trying to use real life to validate your point.

NYJ's real life win over San Diego doesn't mean they're a good Madden team, nor does it mean they live up to their 86 rating. Do you understand the difference between the game and real life?

In the game, you know...that thing you're playing online, the Jets are not as good as their rating suggests. In real life, they're pretty good. In Madden, they're overrated.

i understand what ur saying and yes the san diego post was wrong...how ever, if used right they r great they have 155 and 46....and 34...and that run can get the job done cuz they have a top 5 oline in the game...lets play...im sure i could do work with them

I'm not saying you can't win with them, I just don't think they're the all-world team people make them out to be.

Rhodes is an absolute black hole as a free safety. When someone uses the Jets, I look for where Rhodes is when I throw the ball...and just throw it in that area of the field.

Their defense if you set it up like I have it is workable, but it's probably about the 10th or 12th best defense in the game.

I'm a big fan of Carolina's defense in Madden. Their speedy secondary and linebackers, plus Peppers can freaking rock a b!tch to sleep.
