Dime defense is not used for the run and should only be used for passing situations...also the dime puts more speed on the field but make sure u dnt have a backer on the hb caus the flats will be there if u do not user defense. The dime is great for the press and if ur opponent needs anything vertical...running man on vertical routes usually shuts them down user the saftey to protectt again the post.

The dime can also be used to stop qb's like Vick and Pat White. I use the LB pass rush package. Cover 2 Buc with both your DE (LB's) in QB spy is good if people keep running on you with their QB.

Dime Flats brings nice pressure with inside CBs blitzes. They're also in a better position to protect the flat.

you can use dime ...then audible..to 1-5-5..scheme..or ..4-6....you can...use it you just gota..put thing's together...nuff said..

dollar and nickel are both passing formations. dollar has three down lineman and nickel has 4...its basically the same thing as dime but with one less DB and another linebacker on the field...just think the more speed on the field ie Dime nickel...dollar...these are passing formations. 4-3 is a base defense. Depending on what your opponent does you will more than likely be in a 4-3 3-4 Defense. they are balanced and can be used to stop the pass and the run. Just look at the numbers 4(4 down lineman) 3 ( three linebackers) 3-4 three down lineman and 4 linebackers. you will not be using these sets on a 4 WR plus offensive set...its not smart unless you know you got good pressure coming at the qb.
