Any interest in $250 per person league?

Would only run this if we could get 32 players to put up 250 for a franchise with fantasy draft? Pref sim rules and 7-10 min quarters...

Wow there is no chance i hand over $250 to a stranger. You'd have $8000 dollars in your pocket if you got 32 teams. I am not saying you would run with it, because you very well may be comletely legit. But even with a5% chance of it being a scam, i dont see anyone giving $250 to a stranger. That is just way too high a price. Having the chance to run with $8000 dollars in your pocket, even good honest people may turn bad for that type of money. Start lower and build peoples trust, cuz there isnt 1 guy who will do that big of a pot

I've made plenty of money and not looking to scam or rob anyone... we run this on pocketfives.com (a 100 dollar league..) I guess its easier with poker players as we are a community based on trust and your word is gold (if u screw up your word then you ruin ur rep.)

I've also considered running a 1500-2000 free roll league for the community out of my pocket... the thing I want is COMPETITION. I want solid good legit players.. and I wanna see good games / good teams and get better... Thats basically all I want.. The problem is if I put up that kind of money I don't see people getting to week 8 at 1-7 and finishing their schedule and I hate playing the computer.

I trust you personally. Would i give you $250? No. I just wouldnt put that much money on a game filled with luck.

I don't know if their are 32 madden players out their confident enough in their game to put that much money on it, even if they knew 100% that the money was safe.

Yeah well what are some ideas to get people to play 2-3 seasons and have rookie drafts etc using a 1500-2000 prize pool? Already running one of these for a bunch of high school old school friends and poker friends...

If the money was out of your own pocket and free entry, then that league would fill up in under an hour guaranteed and even people who are 1-7 would continue playing their games if you required all 16 games played to continue playing in further seasons

i'd have to make plans to do the $250, but i do trust you. i know pocketfives.com, and i made a living off of poker for a few years, as well. haha to be honest, i dont think anyone in the poker world could touch me in madden, so i'd be happy to put up $250 if it was a bunch of casual players, but i dont know what you're final roster would look like.

and then the other thing that would make me second guess joining... sim rules. i dont cheat, glitch, or even cheeze... but sim players can be really fuckin picky, and i want to play my game the way i've been labbing to play it.

personally, i know for a fact you can find highly competitive free leagues, but i dont know about online franchises because of the schedule problem that occurs (you can only play one week at a time as opposed to having an open schedule and playing all your games in no order). if you offer ANY money, people will show up, maybe you can get a bum filter. have someone tryout all the applicants, and only let the good players in.

Yeah that is kind of what I had in mind Djax... having someone filter the people to get super good players in.. (I'm not that great right now and know the way to get better is better competition.)
