How do i stop the pass out of the backfield?

I was playin the giants last nite and dude kept passin to jacobs comin out of the backfield.i put a linebacker on him and he would still catch it.

A cover 2 is usually good. That will put a corner in the flats and it puts the LBs over the middle. If I am playing someone that throws to the back a lot, that's what I run. If you are sure he is gonna throw, put in your dime defense, it will put faster guys in to keep up with him.

I agree. also, if it's a swing pass(RB still in backfield) I notice that the 4-3 over or under(pending which side he starts on) works well as long as the lb is in man coverage on him.
