MS Writer's Team

With the newsletter about to re-launch, and an extension from that idea, we are looking for a solid team of writers. People we can continually count on every week to be around so we can discuss the articles to be written for that month. We are looking for responsible, mature people, with a background or focus in journalism. Apply even if you are a sports/news enthusiast, or if you write for a hobby. We are ready to develop something that will set us apart from others sites, and at the same time bring the Madden Community together.

If you are interested send me a PM or leave a reply in this thread and tell us why you would make a good writer, and why you would like to be a part of this team. We will be very select, and only serious inquires need apply. Four people will be chosen, and we already have a few in mind. So if you really want to help us out, and make a lasting name for something brand new, apply today.

You guys know I'm down for this. I'm a journalism major, I've written blogs for the site, etc...With the semester ending shortly, I'm gonna have a lot more time for writing...

Rob just told me to check this out and he knows im down for it... I dont know exactly what u want but i just started back at goin to school and my major is gona be journalism... I think Rob wants me on the team, i have made a few mistakes with my blog i wrote but I sent it to Rob and he helped me a lot which i appriciate a lot cuz i have not done anything since high school 6 years ago.. but i would love to contribute and u guys all know when ive said i was gona bring my pats pb breakdown i brought it with every play i use on a regular basis... i brought it with the cassel blog when we tried to get the blog started... im not gona be one to say lets do it and then not help like mod has been so concerned about lately... if i say im gona bring it whatever it is i do...

Man this is beautiful! Glad you guys are getting this going again. With my boy Ketcham leading the way this will definitely help to put MS on top!

btw i think the blog team is really just put on hold a little cuz there isnt much interesting to write about as far as football goes for now cuz its the offseason but i think at least Rob and I will have plenty to write about when the season comes and i will pay attention to more then just the pats and write about more then just the pats.. its just during the offseason i have no real insider info on other teams cuz i only read the boston globe and boston herald.. during the season news hits and we can find info on yahoo and other smaller sources then paying to be part of an insider type group for every team.. therefore during the season i think the blogs will come a lot more often..

I wanted to do the blog, but I never got accepted or whatever, lol. If you guys end up needing me, I'd love to help.

Then there are several modes with less noticeable differences, anyways...

I was gonna be on the first blog team thing with rob, but then mod's B**** ass things a cat under the age of 54 can't do work, so he dropped me, same way he deletes my posts and makes sure I don't do anything.

But like I said, when I try to, I write amazing, essay's I've written in school have actually been published in the Detroit free press/Lansing state journal, I used to be a reporter for www.talkbasket.net , a site that was really popular for awhile but then it died down... it was a european basketball site that was actually acknowledged by euroleage (equivalent of madden school articles being on NFL.com), so I covered the American side of baskeball for the euro cats.

Fun times...

But mod's bitchass won't let me do it anyways...

and if it made sense at all I'd bet someone he'd delete this post, but since he'd just read about it he wouldn't.

hater alert? I don't remember deleting any of your posts in the last 4 months, and the MS bloggers thing died out on its own. I am not in charge of choosing, i think that is up to easy and ketcham.

Here is just a suggestion. Have Ketchum pick a team of 3-4 guys that he knows he can count on. Hopefully between these guys they can put out atleast 2 new articles a week. Then anyone that wants to write an article can. But submit it to Ketchum 1st and let him edit it or help you make changes to it so that it is good enough to post on the front page. But if he feels it doesn't fit with MS he can turn it down.


I really think this is going to be great for the site. You have a site Like Operation Sports whose forums are boring as hell but they have alot of members who come to the site everyday just to read the 2-3 articles that are posted up everyday. I know because I'm one of those idiots who just goes to that site to read their articles. They have grown alot lately just because of Ian and Phil, but before that those articles is what kept the site alive. You put our forums with great front page articles no one will be able to f*ck with MS!


BTW...There are so many great topics to write about. I mean just this week we could of had articles about what ATL and SDGator wrote about. Next week you can have articles about how each team graded out in the draft. This is NFL Football fellas every week there is a ton a stuff that can be written about.

I'm down for this, I actually love writing. All I need is the topic. 8)

i agree we can also use these ppl to write up articles and stuff for our newsletter that will kick up here pretty soon...i am down have alot of time on my hands but only if ketcham would have me...this is a great idea jwhite jus keep it up keep everyone informed.

ok people, the writers team is getting going again. everyone interested in writing up an article for us please send your written article 200-400 words please and some sort of pictures or video to go with it to ketcham for editing, also send me a copy. it can be about anything related to madden. madden 09 tips, nfl news, gaming in general news, or madden 10 updates.

the goal is to be producing the most madden information and stories online. I know this may be unrealistic, but I am looking for 3-5 blog entries a day. I think if we get a staff of like 5 people, 3 a day is realistic. If more people are interested and qualified, i truly believe we can get 4 or 5 a day up on our blog.
