46 defense

I notice that a lot of people like this defense but I cant seem to use it well so I was just wondering what the best plays are in this pb

i like this pb because it has all the the formations and plays that i like from all playbooks in 1. I like to stick in 46 normal basically the whole time and come out in different formations outta that.

I like 46 cover 2

1.) put LDE on contain
2.) Re blitz all dline besides LDE
3.) Blitz one of the LBs and place him in between the RDE and RDT

I use multi d and only use the 4-6 when I know its a run or there is only 2 receivers. 4-6 is really weak against the pass.

same crunk but i play kids who mix it up pretty well. Can be a tuff d to figure it out but the playaction completely destroys the 46

I go 4-6 if it's a strong rush attack, 3-3-5 if they pass alot or need a lot of yards, and 4-3 if they have a real balanced playcall.

But the purpose of 4-6 is mainly either getting pressure on the QB or stopping the run, so if you're trying to get pressure use zone blitzes, when you're runs stopping, call a run blitz.

The only time I used the 4-6 is usually 3 and 5 or less or inside my redzone. 1-5-5 and 3-3-5 are good's if you know how to use them.

1-5-5 is a defense i always wanted to run. Any tips would be great crunk.

the 4-6 playbook has a lot of range from zone- blitzes- and zone blitzes in the 4-6 formations...if you mix it up a lot against a guy who passes often... your guarenteed to throw a pick because they dont know what is comin next...


it also has a pretty decent stop to the FB dive
it is also what i call a very nice nano if the player is under center...
4-6 bear -plug cover 1
take strong safety right behind the LDT...user with the safety to watch passes to one of the 2 recievers uncovered... if you have time... audible the MLB to man coverage and man coverage the other guy with your safety as well...

this is my favorite play in the game... mix it up with any zone, You HAVE to move the saftey behind your LDT even if he is in zone just so the other guy will never know if you are or arent doing it...

i dont really like using 4-6 its not my style of defense and crunk is right..its weak against the pass

Ya actually it is weak against the pass.. Not a 2 set or sometimes 3 set, but against a 4 set it is.. And playing scrubs prolly boosts your confidence but against real comp ya it is

I like using the 4-6 on third down and 5 or so... call the cover 2, you get a good pass rush and all the short routes are covered.

I like using 46 when its a run. i usually use it first play of the game and blitz my 2 OLBs even if someone trys to pass on the first play of the game they usually try PA and i get in and get a quick sack. Cant realy use it against the pass all game though, u will get burned.
