Stopping the 4-4 Defense?

Hello I was wondering if you guys had any tips on stopping the 4-4
defense. That is all my friend uses and he always manually covers the
middle of the field with someone and uses zone. He is always the
Falcons and I choose the 49ers. I am also brand new to madden 10

screens and throws to the flats

im with irob, try to throw to flats alot and if u can try to sneak a deep post behind his user guy

i mean guys to stop the 4-4 what you really have to do is have a quick read either 1-2-3 or te or rb...you really don't have much time to do more than 1 read...so use some motioning and throw to the flats whenever possible...a good person will shut down your reads so make sure you have at least 3-4 plays with your quick reads and throw to different people to keep the person off balance

i run the 4-4 and one thing that can give a 4-4 user a headache is running the hurry-up offense. this can have it so that they won't be able to set their play up in time

HURRY UP offense is not going 2 effect a good player! quick reads and studying ur pb because good players make adjustments

you sounding real amateur right now. first off, i am a good player. what you just said was so primitive. everyone knows to make quick reads and adjustments. that's madden 101. my point wasn't to say that the hurry-up shuts down the 4-4, but to possibly slow it down.

the 4-4 is vulnerable to being a hit or miss based off the fact that 1 missed assignment in setting up the play can result in major yards for the offense. so if you can get the D to not set up right in time you can exploit it. only a fool would do the same play over and over in a hurry-up scheme.

but then again... most of the madden community claim to be "good players", so you may sincerely think you had a valid point.

just abuse the flats. i mean if thats all he wants to run the you keep running the same thing that beats it. doesnt matter what he does IMO, nothing can turn the 4-4 into a halfway decent flat D

4-4 sucks against the flats and most screens... roll with that... keep a good screen or 2 in your audibles and youll be ok
