Rocket Catch in 09?

This year the rocket catch is a little different and a lot harder since there is no more strafe catching. To execute the rocket catch you must throw a bullet pass down and to the right (about 4 o'clock on the left analog stick) if you are throwing to the right receiver. If throwing to the left receiver just throw down and to the left (about 7'oclock on the left analog stick). Now here comes the hard part, you have to kinda run back so that you are in front of the circle so that you are strait up with the ball.



Streak the outside WR, let him go about 20 yards, throw a bullet
with pass lead down AND to the outside. (ie: if throwing to left side
the pass lead is a downward, diagonal left) As the ball comes down
click onto the WR, briefly tap staight down and press and hold Y!

Please make this exclusive i dont want any cheesers doing this every pass.

why would we make this exclusive...this is a offensive strategy and i want to help members with their game. Fresh do you really think that people won't find out about this???

Strafe catching isn't gone, you just have to learn how to manually strafe.

I am talking about the animated or spectacular catch where you could jump up in the air like 10 feet high and catch the ball. I used the Lions alot and killed that with Roy Williams and Charles Rogers. I don't think anyone abused it as much as alot of the guys that used the Broncos (Brandon Marshall) and the Saints (Marques Colston)

Thanks 4 finding this Fudgy but I do this sometimes when I user control the wr and I have to come back to the ball. But it good you posted a video and everyone can see. It can be stop also just have a good user skill game and swat or int.

This year both the DB and the WR will be able to go get the ball. Gotta like that cause both players have a fair shot at the ball.

i hate user catches but i user pic so its a double standard...i dont mind it as long as my defenser can take the legs out but im glad that they toned it down alot jus hope ppl donnt abuse it like they always do and they will jus hope i dont run into those guys.

it isnt that bad but it can be over done and kinda cheezy on every freakin catch specially with tall wr...i user pic but i mean those are only bad passes and i only user catch on bad passes like wen my qb get hit and stuff that's it...i neva learned how to throw the spec catch jus figured if the cpu wanted ta do it den itll do it.

Adam! how do you do a strafe catch in the demo since holding down the or the left trigger doesn't cause your wr to strafe.

I know you are one of the top madden players on the site and you can easily answer this for everybody to know and understand... myself included

I love the strafe catch aswell... to me it's the greatest from of a user catch... not a animation that alot of PPL use to get BS receptions.
