| Rocket Catching is one of the best strategies to use while on offense in madden. A rocket catch is when your receiver jumps off the ground vertically giving it the rocket animation. Rocket Catches are not so tuff to learn, but it does take practice.
Rocket Catch-Curl
Snap the ball and drop back about 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage, throw a bullet pass and precision it up, immediately click on to your WR and run down a little bit towards the angle where the ball is coming from. Then press Y/Triangle to catch it.
Rocket Catch-Out Route
Wait till your WR turns and runs to the sideline and is about 3 steps away from the sideline, then bullet the pass and precision it up (some people like to hold LT/L2 while they throw this but its up to you) the just click onto the WR and run towards the QB. Press Y/Triangle.
Rocket Catch-Corner
Wait till he's a bit close to the sideline and throw a bullet and precision it directly down, then click on then run back at the angle which the ball is coming and press Y/Triangle to catch it.
Rocket Catch-S Route (Player Runs Up, then to the left or right, runs up, then hits a corner)
Throw a bullet and precision it to the left as soon as he makes his last break towards the corner, click on him and run donw at the ball immediately and press Y/Triangle.
Rocket Catch-Fade
Bullet it and precision it up WHILE HOLDING THE LEFT ANOLOG, then click on and turn your WR around in a mini-circle to turn him around to face the ball and press Y/Triangle to catch.
Rocket Catch-Back Endzone Fade (Run this when within 5 yards of the endzone)
The key is to lob it up (tap the button), precisioning it up and out (towards the corner of the endzone), and HOLD THE LEFT ANALOG when you throw. Then, just run around in a mini-circle and run back at the ball and press Y/Triangle to catch it.
***These are just a few ways of how to rocket catch. I urge you to go into practice mode to get the hang of the timing and the passes. This isn't something that you try to pick up in a game without having put some time into it. I hope this helps | |

| I have no QB or receiver. Gage is 6'4 but his ratings still blow. | |

| I personally love the endzone rocket catch the best...I seem to always get it. I also like it because the defense basically won't pic it off since the ball is being placed in the back corner | |

| Just go to Practice Mode and click offense only. Thats how most people will get there RC's down. There not hard you just need to know how to throw the pass. | |

| The whole point of exclusive is to get people more active. It is easy for some1 to come on this site and get info , and not help or post anything for anyone else to get better on. I don't think this is going in the exclusive section though | |

| Ive spent alot of times practicing these catches and I can only get two of them. I finally put my tall WR in to do the Corner RC and it works, but they drop it a lot because it's Wilford and London.
So as a previos post said, I believe you need tall receivers, because I worked on this for hours with no success when I was using Ginn, Bess.
I can't figuere out the Streak and the End Zone ones. I am completely confused about this mini Circle thing. It seems any time I try to do it my WR just runs out of the play. So if anyone wants to help me out hit me up!

| RC is a term they use on here because in the game the wr's have a 50 inch vert and they can jump and catch anything ova anyone...everyone does it in the game its just some ppl dont notice it....it takes prac and i havent learned how to do any besides curls cuz the comp does it by itself sometimes if u let it but like the earlier post ive spent tons of time trying the mini circle (streak route) and i have a problem not even getting to the ball...so i cant even perform the mini circle... | |
