New Orleans PB Breakdown Pt 1.

I like the Saints PB and I have had some pretty good success with it so I thought that I would post a couple of the plays.I use alot of different packages as I use the Saints and like to put Reggie Bush all over the field.I hope this helps and would appreciate feedback.I wont get too much into how each play works against what coverages beacuse all you gotta do is go to practice mode and try each play against each coverage to see how it works.Do the work and reap the rewards.

1.Shotgun Split Offset
HB Slip Screen-Dual HB Package
Looks-I look running the automotion route.These routes are good for beating man bump n run as they wont get jammed.I try to get him as he breaks to the sideline.If its cover 2 i look for and throw a high bullet pass as he breaks for the middle of the field.Im going deep if i can if not i have the screen or the other HB in the flat.

2.Shotgun Tight
Bench-TE Left Package
Hot Routes- =Streaks-- Slant Out
Looks-Im looking right the whole way. is my first read.Hopefully the streak and the corner out that my recievers run can pull away the defenders and the HB will be wide open.If its Cover 2 wait for to clear the CB or you can hit on the corner out.It really depends on the S for who you hit deep.Watch his position and make the throw to the right guy.

3.Shotgun Empty Y-Saints
Jet Sweep
Since I dont have a Wildcat in this PB i use this to create a similar effect.This play has Reegie Bush Running an Automotion Route.This play can pick up big yardage if run properly.Just watch the defenders and watch for cutback lanes if he overpursues.

4.Shotgun Empty Y-Saints
PA Jet Sweep
This play is obviously set up by the previous play.My first read is .If I can get it to him in stride he can pick up big yrdg.If the defence plays him on the run then i look for over the middle.I then look for on the outroute.You also have on a deep post of the on a blue delay route.

5.Singleback Flex
Swing Screen TE slot(for more beef in the blocking)
Motion over to the right to as an extra blocker.
is the main focus here.I try to wait until he clears the numbers and swing it out ot him.If the blocking is there i typically get about 7-10 yrds on this play.You can hotroute to do whatever you want as he doesnt do anything on this play.

6.Singleback Snugs
HB Wheel
I leave this play as is.My first look will be on the corner out.Next i look for running the post.One of these should be open but if not you have running the wheel or running across the middle of the field.Keep and eye on though because if the Defense follows the Drag and In route your HB can take this to the house.

I hope this works and I do have some more plays that Ill post if anyone wants.These plays are successful for me but Ive put in hours in practice mode and learned the ins and outs and youll have to do the same(as you should if you wanna succeed anyway).

Saints book is nice, I love the swing screen out of singlenack flex, this is a great play vs the inside nano's, just a great play period.

also, SB Snugs HB WHEEL is a hidden gem

Im glad you liked these plays.I have some more that Ill post in the next day or so.I have some i came up with and i also have a few that i got outta the Official Strategy Guide,some that are designed specifically to beat bump n run,and some run plays.Ill get it out as soon as possible.

i havent really looked at this pb much. i am guessing its a lot of passing which i like. do u have good success running with this pb? i am about 60% pass 40% run

i just ask cuz i like to have a decent running game along with the pass. i am still looking for a pb that will give me that. right now i am using the lions and i have had pretty good success

yes this playbook has just about every type of run that there is,especially alot of tosses.Ill put some of my favorites in my next post hopefully today or tommorrow.

alright i just played with these and there are really good run plays. the quick toss in that weak close formation is very deadly. and awesome pass plays. awesome job bringing up this pb, this was a hidden gem. i think it will get a little more popular now. i will def be using it. the only concern for me is i am not very good at throwing out routes. i am a really good passer (except for this route), but this year i cannot seem to get the out route down. any tips? i already user catch everything but that doesnt seem to work for the out route. is there any certain direction you throw the ball?

Alot of the out route has to do with timing,but i throw a high bullet pass and it seems to work because when lead to the sideline the ball sails like 10yrds outta bounds.Try it and see if it works

1.singleback snugs flip- HB Pitch
2.singleback snugs flip-Hb Wheel
If my opponent stacks up to stop the pitch after i hit him with it a few times ill audible to the HB Wheel.If he plays the pass and looks like hell stop the pitch and leaves the middle of the line open ill quick audible and it gives a run up the gut.

3.Shotgun Empty Y-Saints-Saints Drags-I didnt break this play down but it has alot of good routes in it and since i use this formation so much i need to have different plays in it.

4.Saints Corner-This play is wicked and it has given me big gains.Hot Route your TE to do a slant in the middle of the field as a checkdown.Look for L1 or Square(*****This play came from the Official Strategy Guide sold at gamestop,i just added the TE Slant myself)

5.Shotgun Spread-Smash HB Check-I broke this play down in an earlier thread so check it for the steps.I hope this helps,it works for me.

yeah i love the SG empty saints formation .. .the saints drag is killer.
