| Whats the easiest way to read the D. To tell whether or not he is in man coverage or zone. There is simply not enough time to move the reciever to tell | |

this is what i do sometimes. i'll have like 3 wr on 1 side 1 on the other....make the receiver thats alone run across field and send the other 3 across the oppisite way and if u have a te or hb on the field then send them the way the 3 receivers r goin...rolout out towards the alone receiver running if the players follow the 3 its zone and 90% of the time if it's man that 1 man will have a big gain(depepends on ratings)...p.s. you the hot right and the left and right on the right analog

| Pre snap u just watch the SS and u can tell what it is by his movement either presnap or post snap.. Pre snap if he moves over towards the sideline its man coverage and possibly a cb blitz is coming.. Zone coverages u gota watch post snap to see what zone it is. When he comes in and plays like a LB its cover 3, when he backs straight back its cover 4, and when he moves back and toward the sideline its cover 2.. If he backs up and goes toward the middle of the field its cover 1.. When u read cover 2 it could still be man coverage cuz it could be 2 man under where the safeties are in zone and everyone else in man. | |

Beaner, EXCELLENT, never really tried that way, very good info. I would like to add, I use alot of compression in my offense, both from the gun and undercenter. I love Gun Trio fom the PITT book, really nothing more than the ever popular TE TRIPS or similar to Gun Bunch TE. Formations like this can give you that early read very quickly. Of couse we all know motion is another way, but for me, compressed sets as much as I can. When not running compression I will be using BEANER'S advice in the post above.

the little squares are DL, the circles are LB's and the X's are DB's.
