Finally the Year to stop Buying Madden

This is just a guess at this point, and I probably will buy Madden myself anyway, but I think about halfway through this Madden season, people are going to put it away. It's too slow, and it just feels goofy. Those of us that have spent a lot of time refining our control ability, only to have it rendered useless by digital NFL players who jog around like slow, fat, white perverts are gonna be sick of this pretty quick.

isnt that what it is in most sports games... last year madden and nba and mlb 2k9... what will it be this year??

i agree but i heard the game wont be the same as the demo... im steady gettin out of video games myself...

True that all sports games are going 1 forward, 5 back, but Madden is the one I care about.

i care about madden to but i dont think that u can rule this as a step back yet until u actually try the game out

EA wanted to do things a little different this year PIG BENIS....I think they purposely slowed down the game form more realism and to counter the RC....Since there are alot of cheesers like Spencer, that RC's on every play. Yes, I can agree that they went 5 steps back with the recent Madden's. But with every Madden setback, there is always a positive note at the end. At least EA is starting to learn more about some things, and they are working it into the newest Madden's the year after. Hey, do any of you guys know if they worked the zone blocking into this game?? Last year, the EA guys said they would put the zone blocking scheme into this Madde. Do you guys know anything about that? If zone blocking is in Madden, my run game will be improved alot.. I already know how to pound the ball, but I think zone blocking can make my run game so much better.

ill never judge a game on its demo, nCAA 10 demo was nothing like the game...

BUT, once i got the demo of madden, the pit vs ari game, ill be honest...it was so slow, i got tired and bored with it....i havent played it in a week or so ........

i poped NCAA 10 back in and keep playing that, but last years madden demo had me playing it non stop 24 hrs...

now im not like the thread starter and saying i wont it and all this, cause being a football and Madden diehard fan, i will be in line a midnight.....but it is a bit too laggy....

but ill wait til aug 14th to judge.

whats wrong with the gamespeed because you cant just hold turbo all the time and run toss plays for 5 to ten yards at a time

It's because most people aren't use to the speed. If they would have made it a littler slower than last year, I would be fine with it. They dropped the game speed way too low.

Madden 09 made a lot of people good at madden that were never good before cuz it was all offence and now they are taking defence and making it effective again... All the bums that were good cuz the game was so easy won't be good this year so they are just gona complain.. No more having sproles or chris johnson turning the corner without slowing down one bit...

this year in madden ur guna have to b football smart and kno how to move the ball to score.. its not guna b FB dive and RC to move the ball this year.. u need to b able to create schemes and route combinations to move the ball and b good on offense.. all the bums that only RC and did all the cheese s*** wont b good at all this year.. thats y they r mad and they r blamin it on the speed of the game which IMO makes it a better game, more realistic.. yea it is a lot slower but that doesnt mean u quit!!! adjust or quit like a lil ******!!

dude iv been playin madden for a long time now and maddens gotin better every yr. exept 06 when it was coverting to the xbox 360 that yr sucked . but every yr they make stuff better. there r thing every yr that is good and there r some ones bad but its still a good gm . imo. the glitches is the only thing i ****** about.

hold up cuz...i dont RC at ALL...or cheese.....

but damn it to some of us, the speed is unbelievably slow.....s*** be realistic..its hard to adjust to immediately...not everyone who doesnt like the demo is a cheeser or a "RC"er....aint no body blaming the speed on anything as far as my play...i agree with everyone else that this years madden will weed out the weak and the real true madden players will reveal this year...but as far as the DEMO goes...everyone agrees the speed is fuckin wit them....has nothing to do with blaming....

We all know the game speed dropped a lot but, the game play is so much more realistic. You can't throw a perfect ball while getting hit, no more HB Tosses for 10 yards, no more unstoppable FB Dives, etc. Also everyone there is RC. I've done it plenty of times on the out routes and fade routes. It's hard to take user catching out of the game but it's still in. Guaranteed it's harder to do but, certain people will perfect it and it will be just like last year. I'm defiantly going to get the game and defiantly not going to return halfway through the season. This years Madden will be good but, will just take a little to get used too. IMO.

^^ just because this IS a site for us madden lovers...that doesn't mean that we won't be pissed off about certain things in or not in this game. the "new" game (graphics, colors, abilities, features and speed etc.) will ALWAYS be judged off of the "previous" game (which we all have played for well over a year now). no doubt all of us (and most more than many) have been noticing the constant changes (for better or for worse) in madden. but...with that being said....i will still be definately purchasing it as always cause i am hooked!

I don't know if any of you guys watch Apexis on youtube. I personally find him to be a bit harsh on the game but I do agree with him when he says that you should not base the new game off of how last year's was but rather how well it emulates real NFL football and it seems like EA has really made an effort to do that. Some of the things that will no longer be in the game will be detrimental to my game, however I cannot fault EA for taking those features out because they support realism. On the opposite end though a lot of the new features in the game WILL greatly help my game out. Ultimately it should be about putting the most realistic football game out there.

i used to RC on 09 all the time like i said.. im just makin the transition to becoming a better overall madden player witout any bitchin.. not sayin u r.. but sum r.. yea the speed is a big difference.. but like i said it makes it more realistic which i like.. i really hope the game is like the demo cuz right now im likin the demo, maybe its just cuz im addicted to madden.. but i dont see anythin wrong wit the game at all and thats y im not bitchin like sum ppl on here and sayin i wont buy the game and s***.. if u aint buyin the game, u dont like madden enough and if u dont like madden enough to buy the game, ..

If you think you're gonna get realism out of Madden EVER, then you've never played a down of football in your life and I feel sorry for you. I don't care if I'm the top Madden player on earth, if the game isn't fun, I'm not gonna play it.

okay, but realism is what the dev's are going for. So it kinda makes sense to at least play somewhat realistically

if you want fun arcade s*** go pick up NFL Blitz 20-02.

Madden 10 seems like it's for people who take enjoyment out of strategy and execution, real football s***. Not just people who know how to play the game.

I mean lets be honest, at least A FEW times in 09 you played a friend who had a better gameplan than you, but because you knew how to RC or you knew some nano's you still won. Old maddens were for people who knew how to play madden. Madden 10 is for people who love football and know how to play football. At least that's what they aimed for and it's what it seems like we got after playing the demo.

I'm not saying this is 100% sim greatest football expierience ever, cause there'll be glitches, and probably a few ways to cheese that come along, but this IS the closest to real life they've gotten.

And yeah mcnair I watch all apex's s***, I really like that video he has about the running animations, it seems like they tweaked it a little bit this year, like how high the knees go, but they still don't have any thrust in they're step. Like it doesn't look like the players are running as hard as they can know what I'm sayin?

yup thats what i been sayin fud.. it really looks like u have to kno real football schemes and route combinations to move the ball on offense.. defense is a lot easier than last year cuz of the man coverage improvement.. but to b successful against good players in 10 u gotta kno wtf u doin.. no more RC all game err game to win games..

but nanos will b a lot more effective this year to ppl that use standard passes.. the QB drops back so damn slow.. so if u get one of those types, nano the shyt outta em lol

The game speed is fine. Everyone will adjust. No worries
