Russell had a tale of two season's last year look at the sack total the first 9 games...22 then the last 7 games....9.
Once he had blocking he improved, look at the QB rating first 9 games 68 last 7 91.9.
All
the "bust" talk is ridiculous it was his first full season as a starter and he IMPROVED
especially after LT' Harris was benched and Henderson started.

The only bust on our team was Kwame Harris.

I dont understand either how can a player be a bust when he was on the bench his rookie yr, and his 2nd yr was his first yr starting, Russell shouldn't be judged until he is 4yrs in, that gives him 3yrs of starting time then you can truely see if he's a bust or not.

the raiders finished strong last year too i believe goin 3-1 in their last 4 games... i wouldnt be surprised to see jamarcus play well and teh raiders be a decent team about .500 this year..

yeah jamarcus MAJORLY improved the last four games. it was retarded when everyone was callin him a bust when last year was his first as a starter. his only problem still is the turnovers he fumbles quite alot like culpepper used to i think we'll be around .500 like beaner said especially with our 10th ranked running game.

yea and from what i hear mcfadden is ready to blow up this year and show everyone theres no question he is the #1 rb in oakland.. so all the sharing carries talk will eventually go away if he plays as big as they say he is talkinig.... and no reason to believe he wont, he was a beast in college and he did pretty well for himself when he was playing last year...

man you dont know how happy i'll be if that happens! a big year for mcfadden means when can get rid of fargas and have bush and mcfadden splittin the carries which would be GREAT

Jamarcus isn't a BUST. Foolish people don't understand. He isn't bad at all. If his O-Line holds up and his WR's show up every game, he'll put up decent numbers. Oakland is going to POUND the ball, cause we picked up Lorenzo Neal to block for Mcfadden running the ball....MIchael Bush is a beast too, and I wouldn't be surprised if FARGAS gets cut during the year. And if the RUN DEFENSE improves alot, then Oakland has a chance for a good turnaround.

fargas wont get cut this yr b/c oaklnad restructured his contract 2 their liking. fargas wanted 2 stay a raider so he took a pyacut. i think having all 3 of these guys would b great.dmc as our #1 and bush and fargas splitting carries as our #2 and 3

i can believe russell will improve the only question on the raiders is when will they actually get russell some real weapons and not just super fast guys....and actually allow a Coach to mold the team... Lane kiffin was on the right path... and that D will take a blow with Rob Ryan gone to clevland
and it was bad enough they drafted alot of players that didnt fit their style of D and pay them large sums of money for them to look like bust.....huff should have been a decent player by now at this point in his career... now he is all set back and s*** and will have to play for cheap for a new team fabian came to the ravens and is now the starter

but the raiders have a great track record of drafting Corners tho i give them that much and they do solid sometimes drafting up front
