Here's what I found out to make an HB screen better in zone, so that a DE doesn't guard him to prevent the screen from happening.

Come out in any HB screen play, and if you see that they're in zone, player lock onto the HB, and run his route for him. The DE won't try to defend him, and you can get good yardage.
