Making the HB screen better

Here are 3 ways to make your screens better:

#1. If its a delayed HB screen(meaning he pauses then runs his route) motion him out so that he's running towards his blockers.

#2. If its a non-delayed screen, put him on a drag towards his blockers.

#3. If its a non-delayed screen user control him, and and run towards the blockers. make sure you kinda run back a little while doing this, so that the Linemen doesn't play against it.

SO i put the HB that is doing the screen route on a drag? o-o

It wont let me shift him to the side that the screen is too......

cj i donno if this is wat u meant by #1 in your post but..
the best way to make a hb screen work is ssay if the screen is to the right then motion your hb to the left and hike the ball when your hb gets to the LT or LG..wait till the dline gets almost to your QB then throw it over their heads and you should have two blockers to get you at least an easy 7 yards..the downfall to this is if you keep motioning your HB like this your opponet knows what play you're running.
another way ive seen it run effectively is out of a split slot formation where your right hb is supposedd to be getting the screen pass but instead you hot route him to block (motion to the right for extra blocking) and then you have your left HB hot route to an out route..once again you should have 2-3 blockers waiting for you when u give the hb the ball..
