I have had a couple people ask me how I set up my quarter defense, so I decided to make a post on it. This play is effective out of the run and pass.
Bears Defensive Playbook-Quarter Normal-Man Freeze Zone
Your play should look something like this
Okay, the first thing you want to do is shift your line to the left and pinch it to the right (
,
right)
Shift your safties out (
up)
Play bump and run coverage and align your defense (
,
up)
Your final play should look like the picture above as the a DB should basically create a forth D-lineman, as he will be on man coverage with a TE/HB/FB. I recommend controlling the MLB and trying to jump passes over the middle or to the outside. Hope that helps guys!
