| Special Teams can mean the difference between a win or a loss. As you can see with regular kickoff return, you have little RB's and cb's blocking for you. Setting up your depth cart can replace these players with Linemen, TE's and FBs. The set up.... 1.FB - put the one that has the biggest impact block to second string, and put another FB/TE at first string. 2. TE - Put your both starting Left and right tackles at the 2nd and 3rd spot of the TE. They will never enter the game because they are starting so don't worry. 3. KR - Put your starting FB on the backup KR. He will act as your lead blocker for your KR. Try this on practice mode, and you will see that you will have Linemen, TE's and a FB to block for you. Upon impact of these blocks its an automatic Pancake. If you keep making fast movements with the joystick, you can make easier blocks and big lanes. Enjoy!!!! | |

| Thats funny I just read this same exact article on another site. What if you actually use your backups in your offensive scheme? Like me, my backup TE is one of my top recievers every game. Ive tried the FB at backup KR but always outrun him.

| i tried it already didn't really seem to work they were to slow and the guy was usering his lb so he got past all my lineman and made the play at the 25...so it might work for others but i didnt really like it | |

| yeah i tried it with king and winston and it didnt work out too well for me i had to put jason and shawn there and im not gonna put starters on special teams if i dont have to, also you have to have two fullbacks to put one as the 2nd return man otherwise he wont show up there cuz the FB position is already on the field, so theres no way i can get leonard there as he's my starting FB, i think this setup works for some teams with the right personel, for me though ima just play it straight up as usual, nice tip though man, should help some people out. | |

| I tried something similar to this with my 9ers. I put Arnez Battle as the back-up return man and I return with Glen Coffee. It works well because neither of them are blazing fast and you can set up blocks great with them. The thing that hurts me here is that we only have one FB on depth chart so I had to go with slow Barry Sims as the third TE. Decent returns, nothing major unless the opp. tries to strip, then I make him pay. | |

| when u get a kickoff return always control the guy infront of the KR. When the ball is kicked, you can place the FB next to your 4 blockers, and don't press the Speed burst of your KR just yet, move left to right with your joystick liek a snake, so once the blockers engage, it will give them pancake blocks. once u see a hole, hit the speed burst. | |

| I am going to try this next time I play. I have been getting guys running TDs back on kickoff way too much - now maybe I know why. Thanks!! | |

| I played a weird f*cking game the other day i was playing against the FALCONS and my opponent's D wasn't very good he tried to nano with ABRAHAM the whole game and his O was pretty simple run and throw to GONZO but i didn't get to see much of his offense b/c he scored 21 pts on KR's with some guy named WEEMS i think was his KR name.
But is there a glitch for kickoffs b/c WEEMS ain't the best KR and i've never heard of him and he was breaking tackles left and right and everyone on my specialteams got clipped and he had 3 KR's for TD's.
I still won the game 28-21 the score should have been 35-0 (O.D. fumbled the ball at the goal line) and those KR's that my opponent had were BS but i threw a 5 yard TD to ANDRE DAVIS with 10 seconds left on the clock and squibed him the ball. | |

| sometimes madden just works like that, i break more tackles with macho as a KR than i do J-mac, or D-jack, go figure, sometimes those low rated KR's pull off some B.S. stuff. | |
