Cheesing and Abusing

I'm just going to come out and say this that if someones offense is based around RCing or abusing the outside slant or some other cheesin, abusin play then madden has seriously gone downhill. What happened to the days where someone was good because they played amazing cover 3? All this game is are nanos, RCers, and kids who cant be good unless they steal other peoples plays. Lets play the game the way it is supposed to be played boys.

i dont really have a problem with people using other people's stuff cuz it seems like its all recycled so its all good, the NFL itself is a copycat league, so often times you'll see the same effect in madden, if it works for one guy why not another? the thing you gotta get used to is that people are gonna nano and RC, both easily defended, the game is at a point where you have to get pressure or your not gonna win thats just the way the game is, maybe if you want a good game in your eyes just hit some of your friends up or find some guys on here that will play the way you would like to play as for the general population of online players there gonna RC and nano its just a part of the game theres no use in complaining about it, really you should find ways around stuff like this, i like purple zones with good heat to take away rockets and nano's can always be beaten either with max protecting or hitting hotroutes, i dont think nano's or RC is cheap in anyway maybe a lil cheesy if they use it every down but when i get into a game its my job to stop u and put points up plain and simple if i cant do it then i get into practice mode and try to figure out how to make my game better.

why do soooo many people complain about "someone else's" offensive game play? just man up and ball!

I just got out of a match and this guy called me a cheeser because the set plays I had already were ripping him apart and he couldn't make the right adjustment.

I did not rocket catch, no slant abuse, just good user play on offense and defense.

Players at the end of the day have to look at their self and say could I have done something different to deflect this cheese play. Look at the end game footage, all four quarters and dissect your own game and get back to the lab and work on adjustments.

I understand your frustration, I was where you were before I started to blame myself for running the wrong defense and blaming other players for running plays that worked for them.

It takes discipline and it takes patience, which most madden players don't have.

But when you figure out what to do against one cheeser it will carry over to helping take care of the next cheeser.

Hey don't get me wrong I don't like it when ppl rocket catch all game but dude it can be stopped. My friend all he ever does is rocket catch when we play. It frustrates me but dude just play the game it won't change or stop ppl for doing it. Just play your game and don't worry about other people. If you really wanna play real ball no RCing then play in a SIM league or something.

I'm not sayin I can't stop it because I can. I just choose not do it because it seems like that takes away the FOOTBALL part of them game. Don't get me wrong I do nano but that is only because it is almost impossible to win without it consistently. And the point of this thread is to vent your frustration if need be.

and I'm not one of those scrubs who complain. I aws in the top 100 for xbox when this game came out. I just dont have the time to play with school and everything to stay that high. Plus the games take a lot of time to play

I'v played over 200 ranked games and 100's of online fran games and i'v never played someone who just RCs all game. I don't even think i'v played someone that has tryed to RC over 5 times in a game.

outside slants aren't cheese they can be defended. the only thing that is cheese is abusing the flats. there are certain routes that go to the flat the cant be defended. like today my opp kept hitting his te in the flat i played a cover 2 that didn't work. i played cover2 again and threw some1 into a buzz zone to go along with the guy covering the flat man didn't work either. the flats are still broken. another time i noticed the flats were not defended well is when i sent my wr on a drag route and i watched him run all the way to the other sidline and the guy who was defending that part of the flats wasn't even aware of the wr and made no effort to guard him. ea still has a long ways to go before they make a decent game. so far the game is a super epic fail.

Ya I agree with you totally. However if someone is really good at running the outside slant out of snugs when they put their running back in motion it can be extremely difficult to stop. You have to do it manually and when you are doing it you cant see your guy so it makes it that much harder. There are plays like Z spot that cant be stopped cuz flats are broken

Anything a player can't personally stop because they don't want to practice, and they think they mastered the game = Cheese


Cool now that we got down to the bottom of that, if you are one of these players go practice.

IMO player with cheese in their vocabulary are the true bums stuck in there way of playing madden, I guess it's all good regardless.

I think its funny how all these kids who have a ton of posts think they are the ish. I'm not tryna troll right now at all don't get me wrong I respect the hell out of what this website is tryna do. I just think that when someone does one thing all game that they practice a ton then it is cheese. Most of them time I can stop it but if they do the same thing over and over they r cheesin. That is just my personal opinion tho

but at the same time if something is working are you gonna stop doing it cuz its fair for your oPP.? when i get into a game my goal is to win, if they do something over and over again its up to me to figure out a way to counter it, no if ands or buts, i dont call it cheese i call it my business to stop it. theres a fine line though, you just gotta know what exploiting a D or O and what really is cheese.

i've been qb walked and the flats are still cheese i watched how the dbs defend the flats in replays and when ur wr runs close to the sideline's the db makes no attempt to defend the wr 2k5 is still ahead of maddens time sadly. in madden if ur rb runs into his blocker thats it play is over for u but in 2k5 the rb swerves around his lineman or makes some kind of move instead of just running into the back of his blocker

some kid said i was cheating cuz i was dropping my d line into coverage, which was only in certain situations, but he claimed it was all the time and that i was cheating...lol
