Ok so heres how its gonna work, basically i will do a team a day from midnight to midnight, after that the thread will be locked. Basically the idea is to guess who they will draft or possibly trade to get a top draft pick. We start this day, with the St. Louis Rams (1-15).

Its obvious they need a QB, Bulger is past his prime so its time for him to bounce. I believe they either draft Jimmy C, or Sam Bradford. They could easily pick up a skill position in the later rounds, so its important they get a QB.

i think they trade down, and take the best QB left between bradford and clausen.

to me there isnt a clear cut number 1 in this draft (should be eric berry but you dont take a DB number 1). adding in the fact that im almost 100% sure that some team is super high on bradford i think they will have a trading partner

rams trade down, and take clausen

I originally thought it might be Suh at number 1. But then I look at the fact that 2 rookie QBs started last year. And the free agency is going to be a bust this year. So QBs are going to be a high priority and hard to get. It is difficult to say at this point as I would rather make my pick after the combine, but since I have to pick now. If I am the Rams I cannot afford to gamble, get a QB now.

Sam Bradford #1

I think?!?

swap first round picks (down to 4 or 5 maybe). give up maybe a 4 or 5th round pick for a 2nd or 3rd. i dont think they will trade any players. just trade down and take a few more players with the extra picks

if you trade down like that then they will at the very least swap first round picks with somebody, maybe give up a player (not sjax) and load up on mid to late round picks this year or a future first or second round pick

I like your idea of trading down, but the number #1 pick demands so much money that a lot of teams don't want it. So who's gonna bite. You need to stay in the top 5, I think. Detroits already committed too much money to high picks, they may want to trade down not up. Washington already has huge money tied up in Haynesworth so they don't need Suh here, and they can get whichever is left Clausen or Bradford. Tampa Bay they have there QB of the future (if all goes well) and now have a choice between McCoy or Suh, whoever is left. That leaves KC and they are committed to Cassel and need to protect him and there are plenty of good OTs (Okung) available here. I just don't see anybody willing to trade up and spend the extra money.

Another thing you have to consider is The Rams have past up 3 good QBs three of the last four drafts 2006 - Jay Cutler 2008 - Matt Ryan and in 2009 - Mark Sanchez. This may influence their decision. Sign Bulger to two years, use him next year while you bring up your Rookie Bradford, I think or Claussen.

IMHO

that is the only thing that IMO will stop a team from trading down is the money. but the redskins arnt sold on jason cambell, and there owner is willing to spend big money on the players he wants. and as far i hear the whole front office is very high on sam bradford. i really think this is how its gunna shake out for the draft. they trade down to washingtons spot, take clausen and stock pile picks for the future

That's a good point, the Redskins are gonna shake things up. And they have money.

But me, I see the new owner in the Headlines in a picture with his new

Heisman Trophy Winner, #1 pick, new face of the franchise QB

Sam Bradford

it really could work out either way cause if i was a new owner, then i would want the same exact thing

i guess it just comes down to who likes who more. if the skins love bradford and rams like clausen, then they will trade down IMO. if its the other way around then that new owner is gunna get his shiny new toy lol

If Sam Bradford comes out of the combine physicals next week with a bum shoulder, I will change my first overall to Clausen.

Now where is BigHungry with #2

No Sir,
He will have 6 physicals each with 5 or 6 team doctors present. They will also have his entire history back to a twisted ankle in high school. MRI's CatScans nothing will be left to chance. If it was my 70 million on the line I would do the same.

Suh wouldnt help the rams win games right now unless they go hard on D in this draft,if not they would have an Incomplete D with Suh.. they could get a QB and get him some playing time now so 2011 season that wont be an issue
