Give me Woodson over Revis any day. Revis takes away 1 man - Woodson can completely disrupt an offense. They may have had a bad day against the Cardinals, who went to the SuperBowl last year... But the award isn't for your post-season performance - it is for the regular season. That's why they give our the award before the majority of the games played in the post season.

Thanks man. I thought it was a pretty telling story.

Plus, I bet the Jets would have wished they had Woodson and his run stopping ability when they let the Miami Dolphins walk all over them twice this season. Seems Revis didn't help his team out much in that game. All I'm trying to say is Woodson won because of his versatility, Revis is one dimensional.

Doubt so. Rex Ryan had an outstanding defense for years in Baltimore and he's clearly aiming to do the same in NY. Shonn Greene has shown he can be a good RB, Leon Washington will be back and Thomas Jones should again put up good numbers. Plus, Sanchez will have 1 year of experience.

Unless you are a hater, you can't say they are lucky to have the best D in the league. That luck is called "talent and coaching".

The lucky is the colts and bengals rolling over for them when they were one game from being completely out of the playoffs.



Jets fans really need to leave the the best CB argument alone because againt receivers who are real threat to burn them they use a safety over the top.Andre Moss Steve Smith and even OCHO.He didnt think he needed a safety over the top against Reggie Wayne and he burned him like three times two possible TDS but Peyton missed him wide open on both.Woodson doesnt need that.He had al harris covering the best receiver so he didnt have to but this is what he did when he needed to.

[Jason Witten had like 2 catches for 10 yards],[calvin jonhson had 2 catches for eleven yards],[vernon davis had like 1 catch for 6 yards],[I dont even know if derrick mason played the game against the packers because he was so locked up],[hines ward and santanio holmes had like 85 together because he was guarding both of them and the other would get open when he wasnt there,][fitzgerald had 1 catch in week 17 and if he didnt push woodson down twice he was looking at 3 catches for 30 yards or less with no TDs.]

All this happened with no safety over the top.Just because ESPN is now on REVIS dick the fans speak.I was a revis fan since the draft and he played the same way last year as he is playing this year.I didnt hear a jet fan say anything about revis last year.Revis is a beast but he need that safety over the top. Woodson, Champ and ASo does not.Revis will get there.

One more thing is that i nevr seen that ted gin td come out of peoples mouth and thats someone they thought no safety over the top wouldve been good against. Never more.

The only reason Revis is considered for the award is because of Woodson he kinda put CBs back on the map.It was all about linebackers and safety.If Cbs was still on the map ASO wouldve won it last year or asante in his 10 pick season.Woodson has made paople look at CBs a different way.Seriously how many of you or people youve heard say Revis should be DPOY before Charles Woodson name started getting brought up.

Yea, I know. I actually like Snachez too watching him grow up quick in that pre-season game against the Ravens... I just can't believe how much this guy runs his mouth about the Jets this and the Jets that. They're a good team. They did get lucky to get into the playoffs this year. I think they will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

However, he has taken this thread completely out of context and just keeps sucking the Jets dick when we are supposed to be talking Woodson as D MVP. And there is no argument he made yet that makes any sense - so I thought I would rag on the dude a bit.
