1-5-5 prowl. best kept secret this year

this formation is BEAST!!!!! the constant movement by everybody makes this really hard to stop. you can never tell where the heat is coming from and somebody almost always blows up the running game because everybody is always moving. switch to NE PB on D.

NE has 2-4-5, 1-5-5 normal and 1-5-5 prowl. It's my D book and I love both 1-5-5 formations.

Crazy, try this once: Have a 1-5-5 normal play in your audible and come out in 1-5-5 prowl. Then, audible back and forth between both. The guy is going to get soooo confused because your players are going to move around.

i will also have to try this...thanks black. the last 4 games though i have been obsessed with 3-4 cover 3, i know everyone uses it but i put the two outside backers in purple zones (im sure others do this but i just found it out right meow lol)and depending on if he checks down a lot to the flats i will put me DE's in flats or contains. usually only the DE that has the most field on his side its been getting me a ton of picks(these players werent bums, all over lvl15) with it cuz i can just fly around with the safety, but if i add this 1-5-5prowl i could start to have a better D baby!! thanks again blacky black

not a problem bro. its def a hard formation to go against and i was able to keep my 3-4 over scheme when i switched. trust...listen to my advice on D. i only play 15 and up and i almost always hold people under 10 points on D. its by far the best part of my game

I used the NE at the beginning then got hooked on the NYJ pb Ill have to try it again. My D is what I really need to step with... I'll be hitting up people for some good plays out of this. And yeah you kick my ass and held me to 10...lol

So let me get this straight?
1-5-5: Prowl - Cover 3
Put OLB'sin purple
Put DE's in contain or flats

What works best contain or flat zone with the DE's?

So I have been using the 46 defense with some nice success against most opponents.

I decided to give this a shot though, and pitched a 21-0 shutout against one of the better opponents I've faced using the 1-5-5 and the 1-5-5 Prowl.

I'm going to use it for a bit, and I get comfortable with it....and my defense gets even better, looks like I have a new scheme.

i didnt like giving up the nickle odd split though. the cover 3 is beast in that because everybody drops back into yellow zones so it stuffs the middle. but i still had cover 2 sink out of 1-5-5 and that is another play i like to run on 3rd and 8-12 yards

yeah the 1-5-5 is beast u can bring the heat or drop into fag D and the offense got no clue what going on...i dont sit in it all game tho i think it kinda cheap..but passing downs best believe you see the 1-5-5 then lol i know a couple of blitzes from this easy setups...over storm brave just blitz the NT the MLB and the LILB and watch one of them get there for the sack...the main thing is making sure your mlb stay around the nose tackle and it is a wrap

my 3-4 stack is my base out of the NE playbook...then 3-4 Under...both of those are fire...if u wanna some heat let me know and i give u the match ...spark that s*** homie lets ride

this is so true Sun! of course...the Ravens move around like that for real. i used the NE pb last year and it was pure fire! cause the defenders are in constant movement....it makes it extremely difficult to get a read on the D. i was bringing crazy heat from all over the field with the 1-5-5 Prowl. i may need to look into it again....LOL! good post!
