Help beating the screen pass ?

Hey guys as some of you may know i've just got into football this season, and have only been playing Madden a couple of weeks. I'm really enjoying it, learning the game and everything but when it comes to online play it's totally different.

The last four games i've played online the people i have played against just keep playing the same play over and over, a screen pass where the QB passes to the HB is this some sort of exploit? because i have tried to beat this play but i can't. I know i'm a noob but if you guys have any advice on beating this type of play that would be great, i have tried highlighting the HB but it does not work. It's crap when people online play this play over and over, no fun.

Well if u play with the LB then read it yourself. Watch the guards and the RB. If you see the guards pulling try and get out infront of the guards to stop it. If u see the RB run like a yard up and jus stop there and just stand there straight up, then its a screen.

put ur DEs in contain. they will follow the RB on screens and try to get to the WR on WR screens. the programming tells them to try to stay outside of the tackle that is on their side if their awareness is high enough.

either put your DE's in contain or send em to cover the flats, people do either one it's preference so try both. or if you really think it's coming just go cover it yourself with anyone.
