help what plays to call when people use 1-5-5 all game

this kid just beat me 35-32 in overtime and he stayed in 1-5-5 all game i couldnt do any plays in the middle cuz he would just pick it off 3 times and i couldnt run the ball cuz he had a million lb right there wating to stop the run


only thing i could do was go deep to fits and boldin and that worked enough to score 32 points but not enough to win the game and he would audible to that if he guessed and saw it coming audible to something to stop it deeper

so what plays to call on 1-5-5 i need help this kills me the most on this game people who do 1-5-5 from jets playbook the whole game

Run up the gut all day

i have that in mult d man and i can stop alot but i recoment do some run play especially and inside run a pitch wuld get killed real quik...p.s he was in a 1-5-5 cover 2 cuz i use the same thing

definitely run the ball a lot. don't give up on it after a couple minimal gains. don't turbo to the outside right away, follow your blockers and only turbo when you see a whole. otherwise, you aren't letting your blockers do their job.

if he did that run up the gut if you have fullhouse in your playbook. if hes in man run quick crosses cuz you'll get popped by the lbs. if hes in cover 2 look 4 a post in your playbook and it will burn cover 2 in the middle. if hes in cover 3 use crosses cuz the lbs dont cover the middle of the field between the line and about 12 yards

Run the ball out of sets with more linemen and tight ends, he has 1 DL to soak up blockers, all those LB's are gonna get blocked, then it's you vs DB's for easy yds.

You put up 32, that's good! If you got a few more stops you would have won, I'd be more worried about giving up 35 than beating 1-5-5.

I use 1-5-5 alot, and man, if u call it right every down, u can thro someone of his gameplan! U need alot of patience, and make the right reads after the snap. I pretty much shut runs in it esp wildcat, rarely get burnt on long rushes. It's very vulnerable if u counter it right.

Quick screens outta shortgun are effective.

Keep ur QB on shortgun alot coz 1-5-5 confuses protection and u might need that extra sec to make ur read if he's blitzing.

Pay attention on flats incase he aint playing cover 2. Yet still some peeps manually play flats like me.
