How to stop the run in most any set

if you switch the posistion of two lbs they will stop the run better because they won't over persue give it a shot...

also you can know when to commit if you watch the guards, if they go forward run, back a pass

don't commit to slams or fb dives

you can also comit to different sides of where you think the run will go.Just hit the analog stick in witch ever direction you think the run is going to go(for example run left hits analog stick left and all your players will comit to the run going left)but be careful in comitting because if your wrong you could give up some big plays

commiting also seems to make slams and dives more effective for some reason

yeah but i use the FS witch cleans up any openings the runner might find ,but alot of times if you can comit the right direction the play will get blown up in the backfield

yeah I commit every time the QB does the toss animation, because their are no fake tosses and this will stop the toss

yeah the toss play is one of the most easiest plays to defend with comit but sometimes they will break a run but hey thats just life.

The PA Draw Pass is a killer to recognize since it's deceiving.

click on the lb and move him where u want him

right, this has to be done manually which is a real drawback

a good play is quarter 2 man under spy ... pinch the line and dont commit unless u know they passing .. but it stops run and pass good

The key is being able to commit and guess what the other players are going to do

that's funny how you can run a Quarter and stop the run. Madden, fix this.

The quarter is not that good against hb plunge or slams
