What is a "Fake Blitz"?
A "fake blitz", not to be mistaken with "show blitz", is when you reblitz a player, the ball is snapped, you allow the rusher to take a few steps to draw out a defender, then manually drop back into coverage. This will free up gaps for other pass rushers for easy sacks. I will be using this technique in all of these blitzes.
4-4 Split-Crash Gold
1. Man up the LMLB on the receiver that the FS is manned to
2. Reblitz LOLB and place him on the outside hip or the LE
3. Place FS 10 yds away from the LOS over the Center and fake blitz him
The LOLB should come clean off the edge
4-4 Split-FS Blitz
1. Reblitz RMLB at LB depth in the B gap
2. Place FS 10 yds away from the LOS over the Center and fake blitz him
The RMLB should get B gap pressure
