defense unknown

i am puzzled right now. i have been trying to figure out what defense these ppl are using and how they are setting it up. when they only have 3 linemen they bring a rush and cover all my recievers. if i try to run/pass i only have like 2 seconds before im getting hammered for a 3 to 4 yard loss. does anyone use this defense? tell me how to set up? i use ps3 gaming system

Well the way you described it. Seems to me that it's a 3-3-5 stack defense. Three linemen and linebackers, and DBs. This scheme lots of quick and athletic players.

someone described it to me as a super blitz. could someone tell me what play this formation is and what changes you have to make after picking the play.

I think its the quarter defense... This is the defense I use, It keeps QB's like Terrell pryor/Tebow in check, with only 3 down lineman. And you still have 7 defensive backs on the field. Its man defense (can go man on up to 5 WR's) with two safeties dropped back into zone coverage. Then I "Show blitz", this brings people up near the line so the D is not so spread out, which otherwise would cause lots of yardage cause wide open quarter defense is only good for last minute plays that are trying to keep someone from getting a last second TD or late game FG... Its also nice because the DE's are running contain which makes it so the QB has to step up into the middle, then the middle man is on a QB spy and is waiting for a QB to run right into him. So try that out, Quarter defense, show blitz. Then commit to pass or run every time once you get better at noticing what the offense is running.

i used it on the 360 wit GTech jazers is right it's 3-3-5 stack probably ss cover 3 blitz i justed used that play and i was like 75 an 20
