| does man coverage really work? because i was labbing it and it looks like there are just two corners which are being blocked by the two receivers in the set. the z or x corner does not even reach the z or x receiver. | |

| Cover 2 will work but you have to be certain that they are going to do it or your going to get burned over the top. There aren't many, if any, SS that can keep up with wideouts. | |

| mattP.......That still doesn't keep your SS from getting burned deep. Cover 2 is cover 2. Sending your #1 wideout on a streak will get you 6 points unless you have a short field to cover.
So again....you have to be completely sure that they are going to run that screen or you going to get scored on.

| it's easy to burn cover 2 this year. if you put the WR on a fade route, he will be open 90% of the time. | |

| Man cover plays beat screens, press the receiver and you may even get a pick. Screens are designed to beat soft zones and blitzes.
A screen is a play that is designed to take advantage of defenses who are too aggressive or too passive. You can always play cover 2 or 3 and put your flat defender in man by selecting him, hit A+(letter of receiver) and move the stick...left I believe.
What team's do you guys play with? My SS never get burned up top in cover 2. If you don't want to get burned you can use AZ, GB, Bal, Ten, Pit or Indy.. all have beast safety tandems.

| mattP......I am well aware at what year this is. Thanks for clearing that up. Cover 2 is easy to beat once you identify it. I don't care what team you use.
PS mattP....If your 35-3 your either playing people way below your level or you have a bunch of cheese plays. Which is it? LOL

| If you think it might be coming use the DE on the side that has 3 wideouts, then at the snap if the linemen go out to the flats follow them and if not then it is a normal passing play and you can try to rush with the DE. | |
