| your on the Verge of a disc drive failure.... the torque screw settings for the screw that holds the disc drive in place was off from the manufacture "MS" and thous was Left to loose and this causes the drive to fail, if this is the case send it in for repairs as if you keep trying to get the game to load, "it well eventually scratch your game" making it unplayable on any system... this happened to me on my 360 and is one of many reason I'm playing b3yond right know, might get a 360 slim when it hits "MS" didn't do the mother board and should be a reliable system. | |

unfortunately! you'll have to send it to Microsoft. 1st- contact them, via 1-800 number and let them know what the problem is and verify date of purchase. 2nd- they'll send you a box to send your 360 in to be repaired... should be free of charge, if system is less then 1yrs old from date of purchase and the process should take about 5-8 weeks and you'll be gaming again. This is MS product they have put on store shelves for you 2 buy, a "faulty system" and they expect you to accept it..... just wait! when you get it back and less than a month or two, you get 3 red rings that light up on the front of your 360 and your having to send it back agian... this is called the "Red Rings of Death" RROD for short and is covered by a 3-yr warranty, because it happens so frecunt... and on avrage 2x's pre system . Thx's for buying our product MS!

I haven't heard of this.... the only way you can take it to a game store to have the system repaired, is, if you purchased something similar to a "extended warranty" like best buy offers, only thing they do 4 you is... give you another in store unit so you don't have to wait for the repairs and MS sends the system back to them and they resell as a new unit.

| You think your system has alot of dust build up or their not enough air flow that causing the console to act like that. | |

| The problem he more than likely is having "unfortunately" is a common 360 problem.... know as disc drive failure.
I have posted why and how this happens with the 360 console in a early post.
Rev, has a good suggestion thou... everybody should keep dust out and off of their system weather its a PS3 or a 360 and in a open space with plenty of ventilation for airflow. Dust build up and poor ventilation can result in the system over heating...unless! you have a 360 which comes with poor ventilation and over heating (RROD) 360 owners don't hate the player hate the design...I do.
