How to read if it is Cover 1,2, or 3 pre-snap

does anyone know how to tell if the defense is in cover 1, 2,3, or 4 pre-snap? or after the snap?
Help is much appreciated

as far as i know, you have to wait until the snap and watch the SS and FS. If they both go striaght back then its cover 4. I would assume. Usually ppl run cover 2 and 3 in normal situationd

Watch the safeties. They are the key to reading the zone.

Cover 1 - If you got only one safety dropping back then Cover 1. Easy.

Cover 2- If both safeties. break toward the sideline at the snap u got cover 2.

Cover 3- Before the snap, usually the Strong Safety will walk towards the line and the Free Safety will walk towards the middle of the field. This is a cover 3.

Cover 4- Simple. Safeties drop straight back.

The key to reading the defense almost always relies an the safeties.

and another tip is to use the 0-1-2 QB read system i learned in high school to help a little
0: no safetys more than likely blitz run flats it beats them down
1: 1 safety either gonna be Cover 1 or Cover 3 usually bunching or run the hb out on a swing gets this just determine the Cover 1 or 3 and motion to get it set up to see if it is man or zone
2: Two Safeties either gonna be Cover 2 or 4 beat these with quick slants and usually if you can stretch the field and scrmble is another remedy
