[b]O.K.. I run with the Giants and my boy runs w/ the raiders:
1. I can't figure out how to overcome his fag D. He runs 4-3 and subs his DE's w/ LB's. Let me guess, why don't I do draw plays and screens? I do, the defense recovers fast and all have good tackling ratings...so plays that should yield good yardage ends up getting small yardage..why? cause they are fast.
2. I try to establish a running game w/ the beast Jacobs and Bradshaw. I also can't get consistency. He sometimes mans up his DE's with my RB if he has a hunch that it will be an outside run but he also puts eight in the box to stop Jacobs. Even tho I know he's in zone, the defense responds quickly to the run. any play action or potential pass is easily defended because of the Raiders quickness.
3. When he puts Howard in DE and does a contain, I can't throw to the flats quickly without it getting picked off by Howard..I would have to wait a second in order to throw it to the flats, which gives the defense enough time to bring heat and/or recover to stick the flats.
4. Somehow its really difficult to stop the flats unless it's cover 3 which also exposes ur coverage and run support. I use the 46 pb and I understand how to do the intense blitzes but when he's in a 2 TE formation that is a recipe for disaster..too many blockers. I enjoy usering the LB's and Safeties but to user the flats just so I can contain McFadden takes me out of the other routes. I tried man2man and puting personnel outside to contain the flats but that is tricky to do consistently. He likes to motion McFadden and hike the ball quickly burning anyone who was going to stick the flats...easy 3-4 yards and potential for bigger gains. Doing this also spreads everyone there making runs also easier for him.
Sorry for my vent, but I'm looking for possible solutions for each of my scenarios up above. If anyone can help, thx.
Easy on the bashing. Giants have the best 0-line and D-line...yeah right, maybe in real life...not in madden.
