User Interceptions

I read the manuel, says the strafe button is L1, but it seems that i have more success getting position to pick off passes when i just press Triangle (Y)..can anyone explain whats more successful?

yea this year the strafe is a lot less effective.. r u talkin bout manually covering or just when a deep ball is thrown and u strafe, then go for pick?

either, like last year i could play as a safety and just hold down L2 the whole time so i would always be in position for a pick. this year ur just better off pressing the catch button

yea ive had trouble wit manual coverage too.. but ive realized u gotta just b inbetween the QB and the WR this year.. last year u could b right by the WR and strafe and pick it but now the WR jumps in front.. so u just gotta lurk in front of crossin routes..

and for the other s***.. i recommend swatting the ball this year on deep routes.. u cant strafe and stop on a dime and pick it like in 09.. so just swat the ball unless u 100% sure u can strafe and pick it.. like no doubt in ur mind..

yeaa, i ALWAYS try n pick deep balls which end up Td's. Is (X/A) Swat ball?

naw its LB(L1) this year.. A(X) is defensive assist

i've found that most of my user picks come when i can get a running start right to where the ball is being thrown. this also leads for more pick-sixes.

yea i was just tellin him cuz he asked if A(X) was still swat so i just thought id tell him what it is now..

i know what defensive assist does, it's really. dumb. if you are playing as a defender in zone and stray away from the zone you are assigned, pressing defensive assist take you back to where you should be playing. EA thought it was going to be a huge edition, but it didn't pan out.
