| they overpaid, even with his outstanding production last year in my opinion. Unless the falcons get deep into the playoffs next year, it isnt worth it. If they get deep into the playoffs, then the second round pick becomes more like an early third round pick, then it may be worth it. | |

| gonzo has 2 years left i believe...although he is a player who can play for 5 more years but i dont see him doin that...gettin a 2nd round pick in next years draft is idiotic. | |

| I would rather have Pettigrew in the first round than Tony G. | |

| Pettigrew is nice. But i dont think anyone would be willing to use a first round pick on tight end. Plus I think it was a good move. The falcons are addressing their issues on defense. By grabbing a proven TE in Gonzalez, they can concentrate on that. They already grab Mike Peterson and with that first round pick they can add another key person to the mix. This is Gonzalez we are talking about. 10 time pro-bowler, the same guy that had over a 1000 yards rec last year in a bs kc off. Now later on down the road when they r ready to bring in a rookie, he has the opportunity to learn from one of the best to play that position. | |

| i love this move i think all he can do is make there WR even better. White cant always be the focus anymore. Ryan now has another Sure handed target to throw to.. LOVE THE MOVE | |

| Falcons are gonna be sick next year, that was one of their biggest needs on O was a tall athletic pass catching TE. | |
