Gun Flanker Close - Stick
a) Place your Left Outside WR on a Curl.
b) Place your Right Outside WR on a streak.
c) Send your Left Slot WR in motion, going right.(make sure to use a tall WR)
d) Snap the Ball before your motion man gets set.
e) Look for your motioned man, you want to get him with a Rocket Catch after he
breaks to the sideline, but 3 yards from the sidelines. The timing must be exact.
When you throw the ball, hold the LT/L2 button with a bullet pass using pass lead up.
f) When you take over the WR, have him get to the inside and left, you do
this by doing a semi circle , starting from the top of the analog stick then
turn it ¾ to a 9 O’clock position and holding the catch button.
This play works against Man and Zone Coverage.
Gun Flanker Close – Slot Wheel
a) Place your Right Outside WR on a Curl.
b) Place your Right Outside WR, in motion, going right.
c) Snap the Ball before he gets set.
d) Man/Zone, Look for your WR on the wheel route with a Rocket Catch. If zone,
wait for him to get between short/deep coverage. If man, wait for the WR goes up
field and his coverage man is on his back. Bullet pass up with precision passing.
e) The Left Outside WR on the hook should beat most zone coverage.
f) If the defense is blitzing or your other options are covered, look for the WR
you sent in motion on the Curl or the delayed RB route.
Gun Trips Open – Deep Attack
a) Place your Left Outside WR to an Out Route then extend his route.
b) Place the Left Slot WR to do a Curl Route.
c) Send the Left Inside WR in motion going right.
d) Snap the Ball before he reaches the LT.
e) Look for the WR you sent in motion. Throw a RC when he gets at least 3
step past the hash mark. If defense is in zone, wait for a soft area then
throw a bullet pass up and holding down the L2/LT
f) If for some reason your motioned man is covered, then look for the
Skinny Post or the Out/Curl Routes.
Gun Trips Open – Gambler
a) Extend the Right Outside WR route.
b) Place the Left Slot WR and Left Inside WR on streaks.
c) Place the Left Outside WR on a Slant Out Route, then extend his route.
d) Send the Left Inside WR in motion to the right.
e) Snap the Ball once the motion man gets 3 yards past the RT
f) Look for the RB on the delayed, get him with a bullet pass with no pass lead
g) If for some reason your delayed is covered, then look for your WR’S you
extended their routes.
If you set up this play right, the delayed route is the best option, most of the
coverage will be away from him, allowing to get at least 8-12 yards.
