Trips attack

is there any other way to stop this than usering your safety?

play like a cover 4 or jus man up on the post route

i think it beats cover 4 too, but be sure to outside blitz so the qb cant scramble

i hav played some guys dat i hav trouble passing against there defense wit the trips attack wat they usually do is man up there best db against the wr who is running the post put there de on qb contain crash the d-line were the qb should be scramblin and user the mlb , then they bring there db's down and up down and up sometimes u dont need to man the wr running the post if u spread then compress then spread ur db's out again sometimes the wr running the post will get shutdown,,but hav it in ur audibles cause chances are if they see a 3wr set out they will hav an fair idea wat ur gona do and quickly set there defense but wit the trips in ur audible u can actually hutt the ball while they are trying to adjust hahahahahahaha jus ask cj he knows i did it to him and i caught him out and gt the td lol but i think i still lost the game lol but anyway hope this helps bruh offnsive an defensively

the trips attack play can be extremely tuff to defend against....especially....if some one has a 3-4 play scheme out of this formation. for example: if i set the trips attack in my audibles....i will run a variety of plays with a variety of set ups out of this formation that throws people off and takes their focus off of the post route. then...when i feel that it is safe...i will audible to the trips attack and go up top for six. i am not saying that it can't be stopped or slowed down....but...within a scheme...this play is extremely effective.

do a 1-5-5 or a deep 46 play

I just always user the safety against this formation.

I always user the Strong Safety. That way if your opponent runs a streak and that long post play, you have them both shut down. I'm always in cover 4 against this formation also. The only thing you have to worry about is the corner route.

yea its hard to stop, just try to get pressure on them and and make covering the post ur first priority

I like to use Nickel : 3-3-5 : Cover 3 Flat, and flip it depending on which side the Trips are at.

I thought the trips te play is more deadly

Whenver I run the trips te deep post to royal, I can always be stopped by someone who brings pressure because that doesn't allow me the time to roll out and let Royal get down the field...If someone rushes a LB toward my QB, the play is pretty much dead for me...

The easiest way to stop this play is a simple cover 3 CB Blitz or an overload of one side.

heres a formation that might help 46 cover4 safety

i spread my line make sure to sub ur de thats right on ur screen for a LB so u can manually put him in a purple zone to stop the corner, put ur right dt in a contain that will stop the qb scrambln out of the pocket,and manually man ur SS wit the wr thats running the post but leave him on the his side of the field if practice u will notice ur SS will stay wit the wr running the post hope these tips will man ,,,,,be careful ur opponent might see wat ur doin and try to hike the ball quick b4 u setup

latey i have been shuttin down this play with cover 2 in 3-4 or quaters

and hot route the flats to do purple zones

but i have 2 contains on both sides

but ye i come out in cover 2 .. and every time a person has ran it ... they will

scramble to one side and get sack or thought to the deep post in the middle
