This is a little something I like to pull out on passing downs, like 3rd and long. I'm not sure if it will work for you, but you can try it if you like taking risks. What I do is I take one of the DE's and bring him over to the other side of the line, lined up behind and slightly to the outside of the other DE. The OT usually goes for the true DE, and even if they decide to have the guard block him, your "hiding" DE should be able to confuse the OT and get around him no problem. The risk with this play is that one side of the D-Line is wide open, and the opponent could audible to a counter or sweep to that side. You could try to blitz the OLB on that side to stop this, maybe even bring the heat with a corner. However, like I said, I only use this on passing downs, and usually people don't try the run for the first down, especially the AI. Any ideas on how to make this better? Any success with this type of play?
