I personally think its not cheap, it takes good practice to get it down. but what do you guys think

It's cheesy but if you knew how to do it you would.

But it's still cheesy.

I can pull it off sometimes but I hate facing people who do it every play or some s***.

I don't know how to do it, but I'm good at defending it. It's part of the game and not cheap although for the sake of realism I would like to see it taken out next year or at least made so hard to do that it is a risky call.

Its not cheap, but the Out Route RC kinda is if you dont know how to stop it.

it is cheap and I do know how to do it. EA didn't intend to make their game so that people (with practice) could rocket catch for completions every play so in my mind it is cheap. also, in the NFL you don't see anybody, even guys like moss and larry getting the ball thrown high on curls every play because a corner would read it and swat/pick it.

exactly what wayne said.....i have faced kids online and i will do it to them and they will freak out saying there going to call xbox live and get me banned....i jsut laugh at them...but just some one explain to me how it is a glitch...usually with glithes....your unpluggin wires or whatever....using standby.....but this.... it is jsut a user skill and people have to get over that fact...there is not problem to it

Its hard to perfect and hard to do in an online game so I don't think its cheap. However, if it is used every play, it would be annoying.

see.... this is the problem i'm having. people are complaining about things just because they don't know how to do it, and they don't know how to stop it. it's like.... "oh this is too hard for me to learn, so its not fair" thats just terrible.

well there is a very easy counter to shuting it down. the rocket catch does happen in real life too, its just on more deeper plays than curls

If you can do it, than do it. It takes alot of practice to get good at it.

I personally think its cheap... yeah it might take practice and all to get it down and all but if you are relying on your RC to win games i think thats cheese, im ok with it if people use it a few times in a game but when they drive down the field with it.. mmeh... im not a huge fan of RC in that case.. And yes i can RC so im not just another bitter B**** whos whining cuz he cant do it... im just stating my opinion.

i think the real issue is:

is the RC and EXPLOIT or not. it may be cheez... but so is - the hb direct snap, fb dive, curls, nanos, etc etc etc.

i think its just one of those things you either learn to do and stop, or you don't play on that level.

ya youre right, but i think it shouldnt be taken out, this gives the game more options than just making stategies

its just a form of user catching, that can't take user catching out of the game... its such a key part.

To all the people saying its cheap don't go to a MC or any big tourneys.

IT IS CHEAP DUDE. First of all, I CAN RC and I will play you one on one and rape you at it. Second already explained it but I will do it again...EA did NOT intend to make a game where you can spin around and catch anything over CBs. It DOES take practice you are correct! Cool!! Guess what though dude!! You can make that case for anything. Well you know guys I personally don't think that making the defense go offsides is a glitch because I have to call the audibles within the time limit which takes some mad skills to be able to audible that quickly, and oh yeah...did I mention I have to press X/A to hike it!!??!?? The fact of the matter is that it is not INTENDED therefore it is cheap.

I play madden for fun and when someone RCs all day it takes all the fun outa it so i think its cheap to us who play for fun... but its just a way of winning for people who realy take madden serious and want to make money or play in tournys for prizes. I get annoyed and will quit sometimes when thats all that someone does cuz im just gona be annoyed for 40 mins and im just lookin to have fun.. i learned how to do it a little still not good at it but im not gona learn to be good at it cuz im bored when im doin it... Its basically just the type of player u are, if u take madden seriously and want to win tournys and stuff its not cheap.. its just a way to win and for people like me just tryin to have fun its annoying as hell and a waste of my time so i usually will quit if thats all they are doing cuz i dont mind takin a loss instead of wasting 40 mins of my life ill never get back.

the RC is CHEAP, but it is NOT a CHEAT, thats the fact. Its in the game, its meant to be, otherwise the animaton would not be coded into the game.

I think it's cheap, all though I'll do it when I need to like on 3rd and long or if I just can't move the ball...

Hell I know how to do a few different ones... and I know how to stop them too...

I just don't like it for the sake of realism, but over time I've come to accept it just cause you pretty much need it to compete with top players.

the RC is STRAIGHT UP cheap. I dont care if it takes practice to do or not. Stopping your WR on the dime, spinning him around, and jumpin 10 feet into the air, and managing to shake both DBs(if you have double coverage) EVERY time was NOT intended. EA wants sim style football, even though their physics and crap are terrible! I know how to RC myself too, not as good at doing it, but ask crenshaw, I did one of those spin around RCs on him with gates, so i'm not just a person complainin cuz they cant do it. Matter of fact, i dont think it should matter on if you can or cant do it, because either way, you can still think its fluke. There is just NO WAY you should have to stop playin zone, or have to start defending average recievers like they stars now, all because of a unreal animation, or a BS way to keep on triggering it. It takes the fun out of the game whenever your opponenet is killin you deep down the field over double coverage with average WRs in Matt Jones and Reggie Williams,who are both from Jags, all because of a terrible GLITCH animation (yes i said glitch) that shakes both DBs. its fluke, it requires absolutely 0 strategy, and it needs to be takened out of the game completely. And if you say, "o its just user catchin the ball though, so you cant take it out", then you and I both know that user catchin needs some adjustments. I mean I understand if your CB had managed to get in front of the WR for the ball, so you try to take position back while gettin a physical with the CB, and pushin him out the way just enough for you to get it. Or I understand when deep balls, you run straight to the ball to catch it over a defender. But come on now. Being able to change directions as fast as lightning(wait, excuse me. Not even light can change direction) while running straight, or supposedly, running straight to the ball is not without a doubt somethin thats unreal. so you're tellin me I can run a full cirlce before catchin a ball that was thrown ahead of me? lol, nope sorry. RC sucks
