PostSubject: 2009 Offseason   2009 Offseason Empty2009-01-19, 20:48

This thread is for you to explain what you would like for your team to do in the 2009 Offseason. It can be anywhere from firing of a General Manager to a 3 way trade to pickup a WR.

I would like the eagles to finally get that dominant reciever that all of the fans have been waiting for. I think that if we were to go out and get a Chad Johnson or Anquan Boldin that we'd be so hard to beat. Having a big target would take attention away from Desean Jackson and i think him lined up against a #2 corner would be so easy for him to take over . He can basically out run anybody that is trying to cover him.

Another thing is that i hope the eagles get a big running back this offseason. Its pretty much a known fact now that having 2 hbs (a big back and an elusive back) is a setup for victory.

3rd I'd like for the eagles to get a new kicker. I know this isnt usually a big issue with most teams but i feel as though akers is slipping a little bit and his age is starting to catch up with him. It'd be cool if the birds could get someone with a big leg that can boom it from 50 and beyond.

I would like the Rams to get a dominate WR and pick up some O linemen in the Draft

For my Vikings I would like a Veteran QB Pick-up or trade for, a CB in the draft, and A NEW OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR, also wouldn't mind getting rid of Childress.

i really really want to see my "Dirty Black-Birds" pic up at least the following to be a monster squad next season:
2 tall and fast deep threat WRs (the will compliment Flacco's big arm)
2 more beefy players on the O-line for pass/run protection..., LG/RG or T etc..
1 speedy, explosive and elusive RB (a pure runner)
1 monster Safety to compliment Ed Reed
2 fresh, young and hungry LBs (for Ray-Ray to groom before his departure from the game)
2 raller and faster CBs to compliment McAlister and Washington and Rolle. Ivy is decent.
even though the Ravens have a few good LBs and nice CBs...you can never have too many!

That's a lot to ask for Militant lol! , But I understand completely. Theres a lot of things the Vikings need as well.

Titans: Re-sgin Collins, Haynesworth, Mawae if he doesn't retire, Bironis, Brandon Jones, (Won't be overly expensive) Lock in Finnegan, sign Bo Scaife to a long term deal. It would be awesome for us to go after Boldin or Housh too. I think we have the cap room to do all of this too. In the draft I'm not even sure yet.

I want my Cowboys to:
-Demote Wade Phillips to D coordinator if he's willing
-Hire Shanny
-Get rid of Patrick Crayton for a more reliable slot receiver
-SIGN RAY LEWIS
-Get a good SS
-Get a better backup for Romo

I think every cowboy fan in the world realizes that a team actually needs a decent backup qb that can still play

you can forget about that one son! The Ravens are not letting Ray-Ray go anywhere! if that happens..then i am so done with the "Dirty Black-Birds." so...i highly doubt that that will happen. however....the Ravens need to go after Chad Johnson if he comes available.

Titans resign Big Al , Brandon Jones, Vincent Fuller, Rob Bironas, If Mawae wants to come back resign him, and Bo Scaife. Get a CB prospect, a big time WR in draft or FA, and any other offensive play makers we can.

I would like the Steelers to pick up a dominant WR and maybe some big O-Lineman and other than that they have a very strong team.

Hopefully the Raiders will draft a left tackle with their first round pick, then go for a reciever like Heyward-Bey in the second round.

Suggs strikes me as an egotistical guy who will simply go to whoever pays him the most regardless of anything else. Lewis will stay in Baltimore 100% guarenteed.

crunk i think heyward-bey is supposed to go like mid first round.
i hope the packers draft a fast rb like moreno or get a stud lb like maualuga to go with hawk and barnett. they could have the best D in madden with kampman, jenkins at d-line, hawk, barnett, maualuga at LB and harris, woodson, collins in the secondary

I was just thinking and I want the Titans to go after Torry Holt. He would be cheaper than those other receivers and would be a good mentor for our younger guys. Not to mention that even if he has lost a step he can still catch the football.
