| Play Combinations:
Most people have a favorite play, but if you run one play all game you will be stopped here. Are some play combinations where you can run these groups of two-three plays all game.
Shotgun Trio:
Cross Punch Streak TE Streak the Slot Wr Block the back (you can do the flipping thing if you want) Motion the outer left WR to the right and hike right before he sets
This play kills any type of coverage. The streaks destroy zone, the crossing route kills zone, and the motion WR can get the one-handed-catch animation in the endzone. It can also be rocket catched.
Slot Quick Flat Streak TE Streak Slot Wr Block the back (you can do the flipping thing if you want) Motion the outer left WR to the right and hike right before he sets
This play kills zone mainly, but also man. The streaks work as usual. The slot WR gets open against most zones as the flats are usually left open (if they put some in the flats put the Wr on a curl as the defender is usually taken from a hook-zone if it is a LB). The motioned WR is great for the one-hander and has the inside position against man alot. If you want you can streak him and leave the TE, the TE's route destroys man
Shotgun Normal FL Screen Block the RB
Pretty Simple this kills zone
FL Drag Streak both outer WRs Block the RB Motion the Slot WR right behind the RT
This kills man, the motion WR is unbumpable, and you can rocket-catch the streaks. Very simple combination.
Shotgun Trips TE Trips Attack Streak the TE Streak the outer left WR Block the RB Motion the slot WR to the right
Same reads as cross punch from trio.
Slot Quick Flat Streak the TE Streak the Outer left WR Block the RB Motion the Slot WR to the right
Same reads as slot quick flat in Trio
HB Swing
Streak the Slot WR Block the RB put the inner WR on a slant-out against zone and a drag agains zone motion the slot WR Roll-out to the right
The Skinny Post will be open deep against most defenses for the deep ball. The TE gets open if not lines up to his right when you come out of the huddle. The slot WR is a diversion, but can rocket-catch and jet-pack. The inner WR is for beating the blitz.
Strong I Twin TE FB Dive QB Option
When run correctly the defense must blitz the cbs...real pain and ass to deal with.
I Form Twin TE FB Dive HB Toss Hb Screen FL Drag (with the outer right wr on a streak, the hb blocked, and the fb motioned into the a-gap)
These players were used by Chow in the Madden Challenge and are a real pain to stop, the corners either have to stay in coverage to stop the FL Drag or blitzed to stop the run.
Full House Weak HB Sweep HB Screen FB Dive (motion the HB in the gap where the FB is going) Even with blitzing corners this is impossible to stop.
I will type more later, I can't think of more off the top of my head. | |

| The Full House Combo is deadly.....especially when you throw in the screen. | |

| Yeah, it is the ATL playbook and I do think that is the only one with the Shotgun Trio formation. That Cross Punch is hell especially if you have a fast TE like Vernon Davis, Kellen Winslow, Gates etc. You are right, that motion wr gets loose in zones. It is basically pick your poison for the defense. One of the two crossing routes get open if given the time to read it. I heard the Shotgun Trio will not be there in 09. | |
