Hi everyone,

Been a Redskins fan since 1983 (SB XVII and the one and only John Riggins).

Just got the Madden 09 for PS3 after seeing the amazing graphics on website.

I'm simply amazed at the degree of intesity of everything and am completely out of my depth so I could do with some games to get used to it all.

I don't mind losing to the better player so long as they can give me a few tips on how to better next time

I remember the old days with manuals 200 page thick, now it's peer to peer for the best advice.

I'm not looking for cheats and how to do things easy, I'm just looking at how to actually get to grips with the game plays, rostering, selection etc.

yeah man. i'm 100% sure if you stick around here you will become a much better player. you can learn a lot of things quickly, and i definitely think the best way to do that is by playing people who are experienced (at least that's how i did it). there's a lot of info all over the forums, and everyone is willing to help.

200 pages maybe a bit of an exageration but I remember 'RTFM' used to be the most quoted reply before fans forums really took off.

When you look at how complex NFL 09 is and how piss poor the manual is then if you don't know how to play the game or access the technical side of things you can become quickly low in morale.
