Calling Plays

If you are controlling a linebacker/safety, it's a good idea to do this. When the ball is hiked, you push the right stick up to call the pass, and down to call the run. I don't advise you use it on the run though unless it's an obvious run, because you can get burned with play action. It makes all your players better for that play if you get the call right.

does run commit and pass commit do much of anything this yeart?? it seemed like last year it worked wonders.

i use it a lot but like soxnats said you have to be care full on the run. i only call it inside the 5 or on 4th and 1. i like to pass commit.

i lost 3 games that came down to me accidentally run commiting when i was trying to hot route a player to blitz..

a lot of times i stop adjusting my players on defense early because im afraid im going to run commit or pass commit when i dont want to. it really comes down to memorizing what u want to do and working it out on the sticks real fast.

I always use pass commit.

I use ass commit alot now... Seems to be working with getting int's.. I recently found you can run commit from side to side. If they tend to run alot to the left then you can commit to that side

We all do...

i tend to call pass commit wen i am blitzing mainly...if im jus in a regular zone then i usually dont

u can run commit to certain sides of the field?...and pass committing while blitzing is a very good idea to do

yes, but after labbing it for a while, it really only works for stretches and sweeps/tosses/pitches

edit - well it works for a few other off tackle runs, its just that... the cut back lane is always there, and the opposite side of the field will always be empty when you run commit to one side... if they see any of that they'll score.

I do a delayed run commit sometimes after I am positive that the ball has been handed off and I pass commit in select situations.

LOL, in 08 I pass commited almost every play. I swear to God on some blitzes it got the pressure there faster even on RUN plays.

I dont even use the commit unless i know they're throwing deep
