L2 in the passing game???

I heard rumors that L2 does something in the passing game. Is this true? And if so what exactly does it do?

I thought precision passing was the Left stick held in the direction you want to pass.

i dont use it for anything... if u find out it does something let me know..

yea, i thought the left analog was for precision passing.

i think it was Bar would told me L2 was for a "crisp" or "precision" pass, and L3 was for leading your receiver.

L3 is precision passing, I know cause I do it all the time, no idea what L2 is.

L3 IS FOR DIRECTION, L2 IS FOR THE A PRECISE PASS...

Can anybody clear up what exactly this does?? And I mean very specifically. And if it does something positive, then what are the potential risks in using it.

I just checked a few other madden sites on google.

Apparently LT uses accurate QB special, and L3 uses precision passing.

Basically LT is the easier way to precision pass with a accurate QB.

it will make good throws but also more bad, errant throws

But I still don't get what L2 does. Is it even worth using or should I just stick to usuing the left stick?

dont use it. it is only effective on some routes but still not even worth it

Only with a qb that has the accuracy icon, but like 510 said only on some routes will it be effective... Try it in practice mode to find out if it works for you or to get hands on what every1 is saying.

for me, it works on deep outs and curls
