| okay i like to mix these coverage D's in down around the goaline or inside the redzone and i like to make it look like im bringing heat so i stay in the 4-4 to do so but i sub out my OLB's spoon & jordan and sub in my SS's mikell & demps, then sub out my MLB's trotter and & stew, and sup in spoon & jordan, i then sub in abiamiri at LE, i sub out my DT's patterson & bunk, then i sub in chris clemons and darren howard, so i now i have 5 total DB's on the field, two backers (84 & 85 speed), 3 DE's that can drop into coveage and one good rush man, so really you get this nickle 4-2-5 package not so much a true 4-4 anymore, i call this the philly split. okay now with this setup in place these are the two coverage D's i use. 4-4 cover 4 (coverage defense) step 1. call bump n run step 2. stack your inside backers in the A gap step 3. put DE's in yellow zones (if you have slower 3-4 ends sub in backers there) step 4. put one of the DT positions in a spy step 5. roam with the single high saftey and guard the hash thats assigned to you, make sure not to let anyone go over the top of you. 4-4 cover 1 (coverage defense) step 1. call bump n run step 2. stack your inside backers in the A gaps step 3. flip the play (delayed bump n run, you dont have to though) step 4. put DE's in puprle zones step 5. put one of the DT's in a QB spy step 6. roam with your single high saftey and help out who ever needs it, dont get beat over the top. when i run coverage D's wich is rare, but when i do i have howard blitzing and everyone else dropping and clemons on the spy is real nice cuz that 77 speed prevents alot of QB's from takin it and running with it, i can also bring heat from this same setup as i still have two linbackers in the middle so it can realy mess with your opp. i rarely use these but when i do there pretty effective and i only really use them down around the goaline. | |

De's contain DT's spys two middle LBs purple zones clean the middle up with your up top saftey all from a cover 1 this play is amazing for ppl who love to run the flat route passes and quick dump passes | |
